I would Jeann!! Maybe starting around Sept. 10th or so, if you are still up for it :)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Yippee, thanks Leah! I am buddy reading City of Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #3) by Stacia Kane on September 10, so how about the week after? I think that's September 17th.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I can't commit to joining the Feed-read, but I'd like to. I've made a note that ya'll will be reading it that week and I'll try to read along. Looking forward to at least reading your updates about it. I've heard good things.

Enjoy City of Ghosts! Great series!

Jean ~ Kindle Queen (jkat9) | 370 comments Is anyone interested in a buddy read for Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris ? I just got the first eight books from a friend who raved about them.

Sure. It'll probably take me a while to get through them all. : )

message 210: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Good one, Komal! Hope you find someone to read along w/ya. But, if not, go for it. It's a fun series.

message 211: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Jeann, I'll be interested to hear what you think of Girl of Nightmares. I recently read that one.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Excellent, what did you think of it Steph? I haven't heard very good reviews so far.

message 213: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I enjoyed it quite a bit, but not nearly as much as #1. I love her dark sense of humor. I loved Anna in the first and was hoping for more of her in the second. Although, it makes perfect sense why Anna wasn't a bigger part than she was in #2. Hope you enjoy it.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 2179 comments In November, anyone interested in reading Cast in Peril (Chronicles of Elantra, #8) by Michelle Sagara West or Starbridge (Starbridge, Book 1) by A.C. Crispin ? I've read and liked things by both authors.

Had not read any by A.C. Crispin in years and Starbridge (#1 in series) came to my attention from all the hoopla over her publisher not paying royalties and her wrestling back her rights to series.

Cast in Peril is #8 in a series "Chronicles of Elantra", each of which have engrossed me and I enjoyed. But, to be honest, really hope this one finally moves into the dragon court stuff the others kept leading towards. I need a buddy read or other incentive to get me started.

I will read this one with you. Been putting off due to mixed reviews from friends ( quite a few of the first book okay but takes more books to get into series type from most trusted ones) but keep hearing a lot about. I'm waiting for tomorrow afternoon's BINGO call before starting a new book in case it fits. Any time after that, I can start.

My god, she still hasn't got there yet?! I gave up on this series precisely because I couldn't wait any longer, and felt the series was deteriorating a bit. The last one I read was #6, Chaos. Has she done an Aerian book yet? They're the only race she didn't cover in more depth. Are Severn and Kaylin a couple yet? Sagara was hinting at feelings but no acting on them. He was a better choice to Nightshade.

message 219: by Komal (new)

Komal | 82 comments No I haven't read it yet Ez. Wanna join me and Debbie?

Awesome Debbie! I have two books I want to get to but after that I'm free. Let me know when you want to start reading and I'll set up the thread.

Up thru #7, no Aerian book (a short work told of how she first met and then worked for the Hawks in Harvest Moon); but, unless that's what is in the yet-to-read Cast in Peril, not yet. Not done the deed with anyone although there have been really interesting hookups between other characters. I'm all for sexual tension, but, 7 books of so far is a bit much for me. Nightshade as weird as ever.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 2179 comments Komal wrote: "... Let me know when you want to start reading and I'll set up the thread..."

I'm game anytime tomorrow thru November if you want to start thread.

I think I'll start two for Cast In Peril and Starbridge myself and then if no one joins in will delete.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 2179 comments Sure, the second week sounds good. (I reserve the right to read sooner if works for a BINGO shelf but will still join the discussion).

LOL. I am going to read this for Bingo too because my team reads slower than I do, I decided that I won't rush to finish my book because it takes most of them a week to even choose what book they will read anyway.
So I will read this with you all and still be okay

I have been wondering if I'm the only person NOT excited about Iced (Dani O'Malley, #1) by Karen Marie Moning .

message 232: by Gin (new)

Gin | 99 comments You are not alone Christine. I loved the fever series, but couldn't stand Dani. I'm not sure how I'll feel about a whole book from her perspective. I'll wait around to see what others think of it first.

message 248: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 1376 comments So I kind of have a huge buddy read that I'd like to do if anyone is interested. I want to read some Richelle Mead books that I haven't gotten around to. I've started a few of them but I never went back to finish the series. So a few of these will be re-reads. I was thinking of starting in January and then doing a book a month.

I would start with her Dark Swan series (I've read the first two):
Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1) by Richelle Mead Thorn Queen (Dark Swan, #2) by Richelle Mead Iron Crowned (Dark Swan, #3) by Richelle Mead Shadow Heir (Dark Swan, #4) by Richelle Mead

Then her Georgina Kincaid series (I've read the first two):
Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead Succubus on Top (Georgina Kincaid, #2) by Richelle Mead Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead Succubus Heat (Georgina Kincaid, #4) by Richelle Mead Succubus Shadows (Georgina Kincaid, #5) by Richelle Mead Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid, #6) by Richelle Mead

The last two would be:
Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1) by Richelle Mead The Immortal Crown (Age of X, #2) by Richelle Mead (comes out in May 2014)

If anyone wants to join for any of them please let me know.

I also want to do a re-read of Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series:
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs Bone Crossed (Mercedes Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs (comes out in March 2014)

I'm also available to do a re-read of Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series:
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews (comes out in July 2014)

I know this is a lot but if anyone wants to do any of these that would be awesome otherwise I'll just be doing it on my own LOL :D
