I will for sure be reading Chasing Magic and Once Burned. I would do a buddy read for either one... or both!

If I can get my hands on a copy of
, I might be starting it Wednesday or Thursday. I haven't started either of the other series. Yet.

Oh, Christine, you must start Downside! It's so unique and it'll suck ya right in. Although, some find the world and character personalities (traits) off putting. So, like everything it's subjective. LOL Breann. Our posts, made at the time, were so similar. Too funny.

Yes I'm totally interested :) Once you're finished with book 1 we'll figure out when to start the next ones! Yay! :)
Hi Sarah!, Yes I would love to read both with you, and anytime in July is good for me. We could read one, one week and then the other another week, It's really up to you I'm planing to read both in July anyway, so let me know what date/s are good for you and I'll be good to go :)
Awesome! I already own both I just haven't gotten around to reading them. I will let you know closer to the start of July (so probably in a day or two) which days or weeks I can do it.
Sounds good to me Sarah,I own both as well, I've had Nevermore on my shelf for awhile now but The Name of the Star is a recent purchase for me, It sounds like such an interesting read I can't wait to start reading it.
Oh Goodie! Hope you enjoy it, Christine (and others joining her)! Really looking forward to reading Chasing Magic soon.Sarah, I'm all done w/0.5 & 1 of Alpha & Omega, so I'm ready to start on 2-3 whenever you are. Can we wait and start the 2nd wk of July? I need to catch up on my studies and DH is off a few days next week, so I'll have less time to read during that time.
Hi Sarah, just wondering if you have come up with any dates for our 2 buddy reads, I'm busy with a buddy read and Bingo this first week in July but any time after I should be all set to go, Let me know what your schedule is like and we can plan from there :)
Ok, So I was thinking from the 17th to the 23rd we could read The Name of the Star and then from the 24th to the 31st we could do Nevermore. I can usually get 1 to 2 books read a week, when my work schedule is kind to me :) Hope that is ok?
sure go ahead and set up some threads for us :)

I'm always amazed at how many times I think I might get in early on one to find out most of my friends already read and loved it...haha

! I haven't the words to fully describe how much I loved that book.
I wasn't feeling the first book as much as the last three. I really liked City of Ghosts plus Sacrificial Magic and Chasing Magic are really good too.
That's great news, I love how series keep on getting better in the sequels, kind of a reward for following them :)Christine, when were you able to read the 2nd book - did you want me to set up a buddy read for it? I think I'm free in August, it's kind of busy until then.
Jeann, I'd definitely be up for a buddy read of the next book in August. I have too many other buddy reads this month to work around or I probably would have continued with the whole series.
Has anyone seen how many threads there are already for buddy reads? Awesome! Buddy reads are my favorite, and I'm glad so many of us are taking advantage of this part of the group. Kudos to everyone!
It's pretty impressive, I really enjoy doing buddy reads and it has gotten me to read books that I've been putting off.
I love these buddy reads too Jean! I am enjoying them and definitely have started a lot of new series that I need to continue and finish.
Christine wrote: "The only problem is I keep starting all these great new series and I need to finish a few."That's my problem, too. : ) I'm going to try not to start a new series for a while to give me a chance to catch up on my other series. We'll see how long that resolution lasts...

Ditto! I have said that (and continue to) for years. I never seem to have the will power needed to avoid first-in-series books for long enough to finish my others. Good luck to ya!
Starting this group has done wonders for my resolve. bahahaha But, the bonus side - I have the best group of readers by my side to cheer on my addiction and join me in it. :D
Haha I've read so many more books since I've joined GoodReads in general! It's gotten to the point where I need to start reading sequels because all of the slowness of building up relationships and world-building from the first books is kind of getting to me. I need to see what happens later on dammit!

It's early I know :) but would anybody be interested in reading
and
with me for the month of August?
and
with me for the month of August?
I'd be interested in both Kat! I have a buddy read on August 13th but besides that every other week is free. The Discovery of the Witches is a hefty book, lol.Anyone want to read
and
with me next month?
That's Great Jeann I'll be happy to read both with you :)
I was thinking about doing A Discovery of Witches from Aug 1 to 12th cause it is a hefty book and then I planned to do The Night Circus from the 20th to the 31st, that's twelve days each so there would be no real pressure to get them done in a few days or anything. If these dates are good for you I'll set us up some threads tomarrow :)

Ah that will be great! Good idea about having that book over 2 weeks, that way we can fit other stuff in if we need to (Bingo!). I'm good to do Night Circus for one week between 20-26th, but I'm cool with 2 too depending on you.
I'm also doing bingo to so i'm good with 2 weeks for each book, i can usually read 2 books a week but since these are on the larger side i wanted to give myself lots of time
Jeann, I LOVED
. Definitely my favorite YA for the year so far. I am so anxious for book #2, but no info on it yet.
For anyone interested in the 2nd book in Rachel Vincent's Unbound series, an August buddy read has been added for Shadow Bound: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9...
YAY I'm glad someone took me up on that offer! Sounds good, I'll set up the thread and we can decide on a time :)
