Caseyw Ward (errn4christ) | 6 comments I am looking for a book I read in the 80's. This book was YA and is set in the future, about a teen boy. ?He is traveling to be with his parents, or gets accidentally left by his parents? He ends up on a deserted ?moon? that only has a space station that is deserted except an AI interface, and a derelict ship. Come to find out the ship is not deserted, a girl has been living in it since her family crashed there. The story is about their friendship that develops trying to survive on the planet awaiting rescue? Thanks for any help!

bookel | 4025 comments This must be findable. At first I thought Jean Karl but probably not. Or either Alien Child or Earthseed
by Pamela Sargent, but that doesn't match? Haven't read them. Or a book by Jean and Jeff Sutton?
Was it a new book then? Early or late 80s? I'll keep searching, must've seen a plot like this in the past.

bookel | 4025 comments Milky Way by Henry A Bamman seems similar but not quite what you're after. (
Sea bats and a magnetic barrier seem like unconquerable enemies to the survivors of a spaceship crash on the unknown side of the moon Juno.)

Ooh, the reviews from Google Books sound promising!
He was accidentally left behind by his parents.
Nicholas Fisk is another children's science fiction author.
