I'm just kidding, do your homework :P
That's always a good option. xD (Doing it later. But don't make your partner do everything, haha. Your partner might be a bit frustrated.)

but i'd be happy to have that title:)

So, I hung out with some friends yesterday. I don't do this often because I feel really uncomfortable hanging out with most people outside of school. (The exception is Hazel, but that's the only time I ever see her and she kidnaps me anyway.) This is because I'm used to going to schools that are kinda far away, and it's hard to hang out with kids who live 40 minutes away and don't really like you anyway. (Like, nobody showed up to my 8th birthday party.)
But I decided one day that I should just get some friends together at the end of spring break to just do silly teenager stuff. A small group of kids totally jumped in and were so willing to make it happen.
So, we all got together mid-afternoon at a friend's house to watch a movie. We ended up watching Doctor Who. The episodes with the Vashta Nerada and the library planet. Best thing ever, seriously.
(Side-story. Savannah wasn't originally invited, but because of some weird circumstances, I had to invite her. She said no because she was going to watch The Hobbit by herself. Then we bumped the time earlier and she said she'd come for part. Then we were going to watch The Hobbit instead of DW, and she said no because she was going to watch it with friends later. Then I found out that evening that she didn't watch it after all. Grrr.)
Then Savannah left and the rest of us went to Subway for dinner while we talked about Doctor Who and we tried to wrap our minds around those schizophrenic episodes. My friend Matt, who is by far the most socially awkward, creeped out one of the employees (a girl who used to be in my English class) by saying that he knew where she lived because he stopped by her house to ask for directions somewhere.
After that, another guy went home, leaving three of us. We wandered around for awhile (actually, we stopped by a girl's house to wish her happy birthday, and I found out that that's where Savannah was instead of watching The Hobbit) and just talked. It was incredible -- we were talking about things we were worried about, music, books, movies, secret medical problems.
And I just…felt so loved. Like I mentioned before, hanging out is not something I do regularly. A huge part of why I don't do it even though my friends live close by is because I feel really left out a lot of the time. I'm older than all of them, and they almost view me as an alien because I'm so close to graduating. So, to just spend time with them for an afternoon, and have them be so willing to support the event…it meant a lot.
Aaah, yeah, those random moments of hanging out with friends are the best. Doing a whole lot of nothing but having the best time.

but i'd be happy to have that title:)"
Oh, that's riiiiiiiiiiight

I'm the only person who doesn't want to leave high school, and it's because of these experiences. Oddly enough, the people who have had more of them should theoretically be just as bummed about graduating, but…nope.
Savannah keeps talking about how ready she is to leave. (She's only a junior.) I keep telling her there will come a day when she'll look back on high school and just…wish there were more. I hope she does, too, because then that will mean that our time together with friends meant something
Yeah, the only thing I'm going to miss about high school is my friends.
But there'll be new friends in college, and most people I know have wonderful memories of hanging out with their friends in college as well.

I'm kind of the same way. Except I don't even miss some of my friends... *shame* I just miss theatre. I feel like college has so much more to offer and will be a much better learning environment for me.

Yeah, I want to learn about things I care about and have a wider selection of people to choose from. I love my friends so much, but we all have such different interests. Which is fun, and amazing, but I also want to be around people who have things in common with me.

One will be a sort of gratitude journal so that my friends can see what I'm up to in college. Another will be a blog on writing theories and opinions I come up with, because my writing group wants me to still teach them. The third will only be used from September through December -- it'll be a creative fiction blog about a character Savannah came up with that is based off of me. I'm basically going to write little stories about our friendship and post them. (She doesn't know this yet -- it's actually an assignment in the creative writing class she'll be taking, so she'll be surprised to see this blog in the mix of other students' blogs.)
So…yup. Big stuff going down in September.

Yeah, I'm also from the Northeast. Emily, you offend me. (Haha jk, I guess I've just never mentioned to you where I live before.)

@taylor: guys, do not always trust the profile.
mine for some reason says i live in georgia, so.. yeah.
(i don't.)
i'm really excited to graduate and be done with high school but i know what you mean about leaving everybody. I don't know anyone going to the same college as me and a lot of them are going to be a plane ride away. and i'm really really bad at keeping in touch so i'm scared our friendships won't last too long. *fingers crossed*

Well…I knew that before I saw it on the profile. And…wut? You don't live in Georgia?
...
I always imagined you with a snazzy Southern accent…Georgians are the best.

nahh. i'd say they're about equal.
So if taylor's invisible and emily's omnipresent, what am i? do i get some sort of super powers too?:)
Taylor [formerly Timothy] wrote: "Because I am invisible. I have a cloak…it makes me invisible. See?
(See what I did there?)"
i see, i see. so punny!

I'm just a regular law-abiding, nonviolent citizen. No superpowers here :(
