What a moron. >.<

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I know. I really hope she was being sarcastic. Really. Hope. Otherwise she's just stupid.

message 756: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Even if it was sarcasm, she's still pretty obnoxious.

message 757: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Yepp. She's a little bit ridiculous.

message 758: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Yes, Holden.

message 759: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments All of this because I pointed out how adorable John looks in a helmet!

message 760: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Can I just be a "girl like you" for a second and say: HE DOES LOOK RIDICULOUS ADORABLE IN A HELMET. *John Green love*

message 761: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I'd go gay for him. BUT ONLY IF HE WORE THAT HELMET.

How did I know you were going to come online and say that? ;)

message 768: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments ~Yue~ [Starless Nights Will Cover Day] wrote: "YOU CAN GO BIKING WITH HIM EVERYDAY."

THIS IS MY LIFE DREAM.
Seriously, though. We need to make this happen. And then he can write a book about our love.

message 769: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments It may be able to mention the fact that for whatever reason, I spend all my time talking to some crazy Asian chick online.

message 770: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments MAYBE a sentence. Of course, I've read a book with a really long sentence. I don't know how long it went on, but it was multiple pages.

message 771: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Hold on. I'm going to go count pages.

message 772: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Okay, I lied. It just has a lot of really long sentences in this one chapter. Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

message 773: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Holden wrote: "I believe William Faulkner has a sentence in Abasalom, Absalom! that's like 1,100 words, but I could be misremembering.

Um. Um. Honestly, I liked ELaIC about a kajillion times more. Everything is Illuminated was sort of painful to read. I didn't really like it.

message 774: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments But then, there are people who love it. You know how ELaIC is weird? Take that times about five, and then you have EiI. I mean, I really like ELaIC. But Foer can just be...weird. Very, very weird. WHICH IS OKAY, but it CAN be excessive.

message 775: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I still do Jonathan Safran Foer, if that's what you mean.

message 776: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I need to get another of his books. But it's not priority.

message 777: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Holden, you're referring to Tree of Codes. And when I've found it in bookstores, it's really cool. But it's not...writing. He took his favorite book...and cut stuff out...and then called it a book. I don't really want to buy that, especially for $20 in most cases... People have said it's hard to read, and that the story really leaves a lot to want...which isn't surprising. Because it's just another book with stuff cut out of it.

Oh, and Lav. Yue and I were talking about that Oovoo thing, and do you have it? Because it takes like 2 minutes to download, and it's the same as skype but we can do the conference call thingy. If you get it, let me know and I'll give you my name and then Yue can do the same.

That is a very accurate depiction of how I see my future, to be honest. I'm going to be a very interesting adult type person... thing. xD This is why writers probably shouldn't get married.

I can't wait to see what we all grow up into.

WE ALL HAVE TO STAY IN CONTACT, OKAY? AND THEN WE CAN HAVE AN EPIC WRITING CIRCLE LIKE JOHN GREEN AND MAUREEN JOHNSON AND ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS.

message 786: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Harmon (mandyharmon) | 10724 comments We'll all have to marry each other just so we understand.

There are so many ships to be had with Titanic, my favourite being Ida/Isidor. I cry so much whenever I watch that part of the film when you see them together.

ETA: I should mention that I ship Titanic/New York, if only because all my other ships on the ship go down if it sinks (does that even make sense?)

Ah well, you can tell your mother I tell her I'm not a paedophile, and that in fact my own parents probably think the very same of my internet friends. xD
(How does she know about me in particular though, may I ask?)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I introduced my friend to the idea of you guys and he was like o.O? But Idc. And I agree with the fact that we all must keep in touch when we're old. WE SHALL ALL LIVE IN THE SAME NURSING HOME.

Ah. Oh well, I'm rather flattered you thought me worth mentioning, however that was taken xD

(Actually, it's surprising how many various internet peoples just think Tesni/any variation thereof is just like...some random name I made up. And they're like "lol wut is yr real name" and I'm like "...that is my real name." e_e )

(I was fifteen in January, by the way)

I talk about my online friends ALL the time to my friends at school. At first I was tentative about it, and now every time I mention a friend, my here friends just assume it's someone from the internet. xD

I eased my mom into it by telling her I was cowriting a novel with someone I met through NaNoWriMo and then I told her that I'd been texting the aforementioned friend and then I started talking to her about my other friends, and surprisingly she's OKAY with it. My mom. My crazy, oftentimes irrational overprotective mom. She lets me Skype my internet friends, and she even let me give my address to two people and she let me MEET ONE. At the mall. She was there, obviously, but she had no problem with it. I'm really happy I don't have to hide it, though, because WWAC is such a huge part of my life now.
