Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Welcome to the Goodreads UK Kindle Group. We are a friendly lot here and there is something for everyone.

Please start by adding a post to our ‘Introduce Yourself ‘ thread. We are a nosey lot and would love to know who you are, what you like to read (and write), where you live and what you drink, eat, wear and grow.

This thread meanders off-topic quite a bit but as soon as a new member comes along our friendly but bonkers members soon appear to give you a warm welcome.

Of course you don’t have to introduce yourself if you prefer. You could head off to Meet The Authors, check out our monthly book selections. check out the New releases or play some Group Games
Even if you don’t feel ready to post something you are most welcome to sit back and watch the fun.

This forum is very lightly moderated (hardly noticeable), occasionally we will ask you to keep a particular thread on topic and we have a few simple rules about author threads and new releases.

There are plenty of ebook related threads, a wine discussion and a place to share your musical taste.

If you have any problems you can post questions on the threads, someone will come along and help. If you would rather not ask your question publicly by all means send a personal message (PM) to Patti or myself and we will try to help.

The plan is to clear the Introductions thread monthly to see if it makes things a bit easier for new members. Old Introductions can be found in the archive.

Elizabeth Lord (elizabethlord) | 4 comments I am Elizabeth Lord. I have had 24 published novels under my belt. I've put my latest "The Chandelier Ballroom" on Kindle. This is different to my usual sagas, being a tale of a haunted house.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Hi Elizabeth and welcome. Good to have you with us. Please set up an author thread so we can hear all about your 24 books!

Greetings everyone.

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Hi Linda and Emily !

message 40: by Linda (new)

Linda David (lindzz) Thanks everybody for the continuing welcome. I've already received some great advice from Gingerlily, so I can see this is a really supportive and friendly group - may I ask what this book is that you published last Christmas?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hiya Emily! Welcome! I'm just about to send you a friend request. :)

The group book was really a neat idea, Linda. A bunch of our groupites contributed bits to it and our wonderful Ignite collated it into a very attractive package with help from our terrific Darren Humphries.

I believe another is in the works for later this year. Ignite is the person to talk to.

message 42: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Hello - talk to me!

message 43: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Hi Ignite, Feeling any better today?

message 44: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Marginally thank you. I still have a cough like an 80 a day smoker (I don't smoke!) and my ribs hurt from it. Not so dizzy when I stand up today. The really rough thing is that food and drinks don't taste of anything. Food is one of my inspirations! However, I can see an improvement.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Come over for roast beef tonight ignite, that should get the taste buds going.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments roast beef? can I come too? Oh wait - is this the roast beef you nicked from Sainsburys?

message 47: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Hello Hello!

I spy another Irish. I'm up North in Belfast. :)

message 48: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Couldn't taste beef casserole last night Simon! Sad, innit? :(

Geoff (G. Robbins) (merda constat variat altitudo) (snibborg) | 8204 comments Hi Emily and welcome. As you will see there are certain recurring themes here and most revolve around food, drink and occasionally, squid porn.

message 50: by Andrew (new)

Andrew (mycomfyscrubs) | 14 comments Hi I'm new here, I don't write myself but am successfully getting back into my love for reading since I got my Kindle :)
