Please introduce yourself here - March 2012 (part 2)
I am Elizabeth Lord. I have had 24 published novels under my belt. I've put my latest "The Chandelier Ballroom" on Kindle. This is different to my usual sagas, being a tale of a haunted house.
Hi Elizabeth and welcome. Good to have you with us. Please set up an author thread so we can hear all about your 24 books!
You've found a home here, Elizabeth. Welcome and I can't wait to hear about all of your lovely books!
I'm Jason by the way. I have one book under my belt - The Uneven Passage of Time. It's a collection of three short stories. I'm a journalist so have lots of articles under the aforementioned belt but only one bit of fiction so far.
Greetings everyone.
Keep welcoming Elizabeth though, it's more fun.
Hi Jason. Sounds like that belt is pretty tight with all you have stuffed under it! Stop teasing us and give some details - an author thread beckons. . .
Welcome to the group Elizabeth and Jason!

Wow! There's so much going on on Goodreads it's hard to know where to begin.Hi everybody, my name's Linda, I'm a newly published author of children's fantasy fiction. My first (but hopefully not last) book is called, The Firestone Crystal.
Good to know you all!
Hi Linda - come on in and join the merry throng! That sounds like an interesting book - tell us more. Or even better, start your own author thread.
Welcome to the group Linda!

Hey everyone! I'm Emily, I'm a teenager and live in Ireland. I love finding new books to read on my kindle :)
Hi Emily, nice to meet you,you will find plenty books here!We have Group Reads, recommendations, freebies and the group even published it's own book last Xmas.We have live chats with Authors and lots of fun as well.Have a wee look round and just ask if you are unsure of anything.
Welcome Linda.
I'll be in Dublin city centre tomorrow and its about time I visited a book shop or two. Chapters is great for browsing and I usually have a look in Easons as well.
Thanks everybody for the continuing welcome. I've already received some great advice from Gingerlily, so I can see this is a really supportive and friendly group - may I ask what this book is that you published last Christmas?
Hiya Emily! Welcome! I'm just about to send you a friend request. :)The group book was really a neat idea, Linda. A bunch of our groupites contributed bits to it and our wonderful Ignite collated it into a very attractive package with help from our terrific Darren Humphries.
I believe another is in the works for later this year. Ignite is the person to talk to.
Marginally thank you. I still have a cough like an 80 a day smoker (I don't smoke!) and my ribs hurt from it. Not so dizzy when I stand up today. The really rough thing is that food and drinks don't taste of anything. Food is one of my inspirations! However, I can see an improvement.
Hi Emily and welcome. As you will see there are certain recurring themes here and most revolve around food, drink and occasionally, squid porn.

Please start by adding a post to our ‘Introduce Yourself ‘ thread. We are a nosey lot and would love to know who you are, what you like to read (and write), where you live and what you drink, eat, wear and grow.
This thread meanders off-topic quite a bit but as soon as a new member comes along our friendly but bonkers members soon appear to give you a warm welcome.
Of course you don’t have to introduce yourself if you prefer. You could head off to Meet The Authors, check out our monthly book selections. check out the New releases or play some Group Games
Even if you don’t feel ready to post something you are most welcome to sit back and watch the fun.
This forum is very lightly moderated (hardly noticeable), occasionally we will ask you to keep a particular thread on topic and we have a few simple rules about author threads and new releases.
There are plenty of ebook related threads, a wine discussion and a place to share your musical taste.
If you have any problems you can post questions on the threads, someone will come along and help. If you would rather not ask your question publicly by all means send a personal message (PM) to Patti or myself and we will try to help.
The plan is to clear the Introductions thread monthly to see if it makes things a bit easier for new members. Old Introductions can be found in the archive.
