Have you read Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series? I find the same issue with some of Nora Robert's protags but am really enjoying most of the books in this series.

Just finished Holy cow did I need to read that book. So nice to be so engaged. I always loved Andrea so it was great to read her story. My only complaint was that (view spoiler)[ the tension between her and Raphael was wrapped up by about the two thirds mark, leaving the last bit all plot. I like it when there is strife and tension until the end. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished reading Teresa Medeiros' THE TEMPTATION OF YOUR TOUCH which I enjoyed very much and would recommend. This is a charming take on the historical gothic novel with humor and a delightful romance.

haha! i feel ya Angie. Into the Wilderness is a great book. i have a few books i'd like to read too, but they are a bit long. sometimes i just want to read shorter books that distract me and are fun and hold my attention for a few days. plus because of my schedule it may take me a while to get through a book that's longer and i can forget some of the main info if i take to long to get back to it.
