In my opinion i love the Night Huntress series. It's my favorite and the characters are just amazing. Vampire Academy is a close second though.

If you're just talking about young adult books then Vampire Academy is the best.

I think The Vampire Acadmey series is the BEST vampire series I have ever read and I have read a lot of vampire books. The House of Night series and Twlight is okay but Vampire Academy seems very original compared to all the other vampire books and there isn't anything like it. In Vampire Academy they don't dwell on being vampires and they're not constantly worried about drinking humans blood and being in a relationship with a human which is really refreshing.

Vampire Academy is my favorite vampire series followed by Blue Bloods and The Watchers (only one book so far but it has potential). I think the worst vampire books I read were Vampire Kisses.

Even though I didn't like Last Sacrifice that much I have to say that VA is my favorite YA vampire series, followed, dare I say, by Twilight. The other YA vampire series I've read were just not that original or well written in my opinion. Blue Bloods had potential but when the author started giving us filler books focused on random characters, I dropped the series.
In the adult genre I enjoyed Sookie's series up until a certain point then it got boring. I think my favorites right now are the Gardella Vampire Chronicles (if you dig series set in the Victorian era) and Chicagoland Vampires.

vampire academy is definitely THE BEST YA VAMPIRE ROMANCE BOOK EVERRR!!!
but i also enjoyed reading: chicagoland vampires, the immortals, twilight, covenant series jennifer armentrout, lux series by jennifer armentrout, spellbound by cara lynn shultz, midnight breed is also ok but i stopped reading it after the first book, and i'm currently reading sweetblood series by laurie london!! but i still cant find a single book as interesting, pulling, refreshing with amazing romance like vampire academy i just hope i can find a series like that again!! so if anyone knows a series reallyyyyyy close to vampire academy series, plzz helppp!!!

Oh, wow. I haven't commented for a while as i finished the series ages ago. and the spin off series. So, to answer your question, this book is about (And i am, so, so, so sorry if i give anything big away, but i will put the spoiler htmls for big ones)
a girl who finds out that her mum was hiding a MASSIVE secret from her all her life. there is a secret world in their own (and it is awesome, if i might say myself), the world of the shadowhunters. they fight and kill demons. there are also other creatures 'downworlders' which are Vampires, werewolves, warlocks and faeries (that the shadowhunters are kind of in charge of). and an even bigger secret; Clary, herself is a shadowhunter. When she goes back home she discovers that her mum and the house has been attacked by demons and she has to help find her mum from the Evil Valentine (Which you will see much more of in the books)

-I am really bad at writing summaries and i hope this has not put you off of this book, because it is EXCELLENT!!! (And the Spin-off series is better yet!)

I just got finished reading book six of the night huntress series. I completely agree amazing series. In love with Cat and Bones. I'm going to read the spin off series next. Do you know if there as good?
