Your welcome my, brother reads so much
I know my bro loves reading but he seems to be playing video games a lot more lol

You may also wish to check out my website to read more about the series (including the first chapter), see my author visit information, activities, etc.
Thank you,

Fright Flight
It sound a bit wimpy, but Narnia is really good. But maybe a little too old for a six year old.
My little cousin (also 6 or 7 can't remember) loves the diary of a wimpy kid, when I was little we got these books called boys rule Boys Rule: Golf Legends … this series, there was also one for girls, and we all loved them at school. There really "cool" for little kids.
Hope that helps :)

Another great book is the Phantom Tollbooth. It takes a while to get into though, and he'd have to be pretty perceptive to really get into it.

Books mentioned in this topic
Dapper Carter's 5 Fatale`Flaws (other topics)The Gruffalo (other topics)
Nimpentoad (other topics)
Golf Legends (other topics)
Fright Flight (other topics)
But, his parents don't want him reading goose bumps.
Okay this is what I'm looking for:
1)age appropriate
2)it can be a little bit scary
3) it can't be so boring to scare him off reading
4)it can have pictures
He also read the Magic Tree House Series.
Thank you!
