Emily (hungergamesfan1) | 12 comments My cousin (he's 6) and he's obsessed with goose bumps!
But, his parents don't want him reading goose bumps.
Okay this is what I'm looking for:
1)age appropriate
2)it can be a little bit scary
3) it can't be so boring to scare him off reading
4)it can have pictures

He also read the Magic Tree House Series.
Thank you!

It sound a bit wimpy, but Narnia is really good. But maybe a little too old for a six year old.
My little cousin (also 6 or 7 can't remember) loves the diary of a wimpy kid, when I was little we got these books called boys rule Boys Rule: Golf Legends … this series, there was also one for girls, and we all loved them at school. There really "cool" for little kids.

Hope that helps :)

Belén (beeelu) | 7 comments Mm when i was little me and my brother read the entire series of Papelucho by Marcela Paz, it tells the adventures of a boy with a lot of imagination, it doesn't have scary parts, but it's hilarious. It's fun to read. I truly recommend it!
Here is some info and an extract of the book so you can see if it may entertain him or not.

Katerina (klymene) A good transition book between easy chapter books and longer books is Gregor the Overlander. It's Suzanne Collin's unknown first series. ;D She's the author of the Hunger Games. Gregor the Overlander is much more kid suited.

Another great book is the Phantom Tollbooth. It takes a while to get into though, and he'd have to be pretty perceptive to really get into it.

M.J. Webb (mjwebb) Definitely The Gruffalo Unless you think it's too young for him. My kids read it time and time again.
