I found that some of it possibly could have used some more editing... a sentence here and there confused me a bit. But overall
was entertaining and quite sweet! I loved the ending!! :-)

Thanks! A lot of the books I get on kindle could use more editing... I've kinda gotten used to that, so it doesn't bother me much unless it's really bad. And an ending you love is always a big plus! ;)

Yeah, I might pause for a moment, but its not that big of deal! For sure!! Endings are important! :-)
Going to pick up "In His Steps" again, by Charles M. Sheldon, and finish it. I was 3/4 through when I stopped; excellent book!
by Melissa Tagg! Contemporary definitely isn't my first pick, but this one has been enjoyable... especially where I'm at in it right now! :-)
Currently reading All My Darlings, by Thomas Byrnes, even though my status says Henrietta's War.. which is next. :) The book I'm on currently though, is about a family of eleven-nine kids.
I'm reading Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy and really enjoying it so far. Beautiful writing and fun plot!
Anne wrote: "I'm reading Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy and really enjoying it so far. Beautiful writing and fun plot!"Sounds interesting, Anne. Isn't that being made into a movie?

Aw... so sorry to hear that, ladies! It really stinks! :( I finally had to force myself to pick up a short book (kindle freebie) and start reading. I first thought it was unfortunate that that book turned out awful, but I now see it as a blessing in disguise because it made me want to read something better & I already had The Captive Imposter started & waiting for me! :)Finished that book this afternoon, by the way... Such a wonderful read!! :D Planning to have a review up tomorrow. :)
I hate it when that happens, sorry it's been happening to you ladies! I've had a little reading funk too because the books I was reading were so-so, but now I want to read but am lacking time. :/ That's even worse!!I can't wait to see what you thought of The Captive Imposter, Aerykah! I really want to read that one!! :)
Currently reading Outlander by Diane Gabaldon. My new obsession, it's wonderful. Set in Scotland with a lovely protagonist and handsome Scottish men (; I would highly recommend it already!

What? From what I've read there isn't anything offensive in the book! But maybe it does get more "intense" as it moves along. I'll be sure to let you know if it does!

Yes, I'll be sure to let you know. Gosh, if I knew there was in the first place, I probably wouldn't have picked it up... But now I can't put it down. It's very adventurous and Scotland.. Who could resist? (:

Thanks! I have a review post scheduled on my blog for tomorrow morning that includes links to some giveaways so be sure to check it out!! :D http://aerykah.wordpress.com And I plan to post my review here on GR sometime tomorrow afternoon.
Have you read the other books in the series?

I will definitely check that out, thanks so much for letting me know! I was very lucky and won book 1 & 2 of that series and read them and really liked them! The first one was a bit so-so for me, but the second one was amazing!
You're very welcome! I won the first book too and really enjoyed it, though the second one is my favorite. ;) I got the second & third books from the author in exchange for a review. :D

I'm currently reading the Scarlet Pimpernel! Most entertaining, m'dear. This club, sink me, is jolly good fun. :-)
Regarding Outlander... I was just browsing through the reviews here on GR & I'd recommend not reading it. Here's a link to the cleanest, simplest review I found, if you're interested-- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Don't get it wrong, it is certainly NOT all "adult." Not even close. It's the storyline that truly matters and anything beyond that should not be taken into too much importance. The book is wonderful regardless of any minor issues.

I know it's the story that matters, but when that kind of content is included it taints the whole thing for me.

I can understand that. But I do feel that at times some people take it more seriously than it honestly is. Sexual reference is nothing to fear, as it is as natural as it is natural to breathe. There are things that cannot be avoided no matter how hard we may try to stray away from certain sensitive matters like these.
But I do agree with you. Sometimes it goes a bit too far and those type of books are better left for others.
I totally agree, Alice. And, though I don't agree with you, Daisy... I won't argue with you. I'll just say that I take sexual content very seriously in my reading material. That's one of the main reasons that I tend to stick with Christian fiction.
Right. Although I do not understand your position, we must respect each other's views (: no lady argues over something neither can truly win.

It's one of my favourite books ever :D That is so great that you got copies in exchange for a review! I am hoping to win the third book too :P
Daisy wrote: "Yes, sad to say ladies that Outlander does have a few "adult" parts :( sorry!"That's what I thought :( Thanks for letting me know, Daisy. Unfortunately I will pass it since I like to keep my reads clean :)
