I found that some of it possibly could have used some more editing... a sentence here and there confused me a bit. But overall Dancing in the Rain by Monica Eldridge was entertaining and quite sweet! I loved the ending!! :-)

Thanks! A lot of the books I get on kindle could use more editing... I've kinda gotten used to that, so it doesn't bother me much unless it's really bad. And an ending you love is always a big plus! ;)

Yeah, I might pause for a moment, but its not that big of deal! For sure!! Endings are important! :-)

Aerykah | 2071 comments Aw... so sorry to hear that, ladies! It really stinks! :( I finally had to force myself to pick up a short book (kindle freebie) and start reading. I first thought it was unfortunate that that book turned out awful, but I now see it as a blessing in disguise because it made me want to read something better & I already had The Captive Imposter started & waiting for me! :)

Finished that book this afternoon, by the way... Such a wonderful read!! :D Planning to have a review up tomorrow. :)

message 2323: by Anne (new)

Anne | 253 comments I hate it when that happens, sorry it's been happening to you ladies! I've had a little reading funk too because the books I was reading were so-so, but now I want to read but am lacking time. :/ That's even worse!!

I can't wait to see what you thought of The Captive Imposter, Aerykah! I really want to read that one!! :)

I really wanted to read that one but heard it wasn't clean :(

message 2326: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 77 comments What? From what I've read there isn't anything offensive in the book! But maybe it does get more "intense" as it moves along. I'll be sure to let you know if it does!

I will definitely check that out, thanks so much for letting me know! I was very lucky and won book 1 & 2 of that series and read them and really liked them! The first one was a bit so-so for me, but the second one was amazing!

So sad what some people consider good books these days. :P

message 2341: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 77 comments Don't get it wrong, it is certainly NOT all "adult." Not even close. It's the storyline that truly matters and anything beyond that should not be taken into too much importance. The book is wonderful regardless of any minor issues.

I know it's the story that matters, but when that kind of content is included it taints the whole thing for me.

message 2343: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 77 comments I can understand that. But I do feel that at times some people take it more seriously than it honestly is. Sexual reference is nothing to fear, as it is as natural as it is natural to breathe. There are things that cannot be avoided no matter how hard we may try to stray away from certain sensitive matters like these.

message 2344: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 77 comments But I do agree with you. Sometimes it goes a bit too far and those type of books are better left for others.

message 2345: by Aerykah (new)

Aerykah | 2071 comments I totally agree, Alice.

And, though I don't agree with you, Daisy... I won't argue with you. I'll just say that I take sexual content very seriously in my reading material. That's one of the main reasons that I tend to stick with Christian fiction.

message 2346: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 77 comments Right. Although I do not understand your position, we must respect each other's views (: no lady argues over something neither can truly win.
