You have to read her.I agree with Anne Heyer is very addictive.I am collecting all her books.I only have 9 of her romances left to read.
I am currently reading a Heyer one of her mysteries called
.
I'm collecting her books too Nicole :) Do you like the mystery you're reading?@ Soph - lol ;) you ARE grand!!

Wow. Thanks for all the recommendations, y'all! :) I'm heading right over to check out my library's e-book site to see what they have to offer... Wish me luck! ;)
They have 23 of her books to choose from & 20 of them are currently available, so I've got my work cut out for me trying to pick which one I want to try... ;)
The first one on the list was Cotillion, so I figured I'd just go with that one. I have several books to read right now, though, so I have no idea when I'll get to it...

I really want to read a Heyer novel.
Beth you will love GH!! She's amazing!!I cant say if I like Cotillion, I havent read it yet, but it looks promising!!
You ladies have lots of wonderful hours in store for you!!
@ Aerykah - let me know when you get the chance to read it! I"d love to how you'll be doing with it!
Cotillion was my first Heyer! It was 'different' cause I'd never read one of hers and at first I found it a bit slow paced- but I went ahead and read more of hers anyway and I fell in love with her work. Cotillion did have it's awesome moments- don't get me wrong! :D let me know what you think. :)
Cotillion is one of my all time favorites.Enjoy.I couldn't stop laughing throw most of it.Amazing book.

I think the reason I found it 'different' was because I had never read her style before so it was more of a 'culture shock' haha ;)

Haha right??? Late last year I saved up some money specifically for the purpose of buying as many Heyer's as I could- that was THE funnest order to place on Amazon EVER! :D I think I only need 12 now... (of the Historicals- not including the mysteries).
Oh!!! Awesome what a good idea!!:D You must've been so HAPPY the day they arrived!!! I actually get mine from eBay now, as they are less expensive ;) I have about 15 or so to get aw well (not including the mysteries) but I own quite a few that I haven't yet read (in fact most of the books I own are unread!! - I buy way too many!) :)
Right?? well they all came in packages of like 1 or 2, so like 5 or 6 packages would come a day! it was like Christmas for a week! haha Oh same here! most of my books I haven't read... I have around 20ish Heyers I haven't read yet! xP Lol oh really?? I'll have to check on Ebay then! :D
I took this quiz on quibblo which I was so happy to find and I was ARABELLA!!!!!
Which Georgette Heyer Character Are You?
~Arabella Tallant~
Whether at home, or amongst the 'ton' of London, you are always considerate of those less fortunate than you and will stand up to protect them. You are beautiful, and charming, but are NOT to be messed with, and will rise to the occasion if anyone should dare to pre-judge you unfairly...falling for him along the way.

I only need 3 Heyer historical ones and 5 her out of print books and then I have them all.I also have both her biographies plus Georgette Heyer's Regency world which is a great companion to her novels. It helps you with some of the slang and tells you all about the Regency period.I highly recommend it.
I have 9 romances,6 mysteries counting the one I am reading,5 historical fiction novels, and 5 out of print novels to read.It will be so sad when I have not more to read.
Oh wow Nicole! That's great! But I know what you mean about being sad when you will have read them all! But there are always the re-reads! :) I only read 14 Georgette Heyer...I still have a lot left lol ;)

Yes you should check eBay!! I found many of the Sourcebooks ones for like 5$ or less including shipping and most of them were new or like new :) It does feel like Christmas when you get books!!! :D
Can you send me the link to that quiz?! I'd love to do it!!
I'm actually browsing on there now!! don't you wish some sites would have a "no-shipping" day, at least once a year? haha :P
I'll try and find it- but when I tried to go back after taking the quiz it just kept taking me to the final results page. I just google searched "Which Georgette Heyer Heroine are you" and it was the one under quibblo. . . let me know if it works..if not I'll try again.

Indeed. I'm really pining for a regency. haha And this one is French people, which, I don't have a problem with, but it's like a culture shock after reading so many regencies with the English culture and all. So its just hard to adjust to. :P
