Ooh, did not like that one... :/
Have you read any of his (Oscar Wilde's) plays? I enjoyed them a lot more than Dorian Gray.

Aerykah | 2071 comments Alice wrote: "A Change of Fortune (Ladies of Distinction, #1) by Jen Turano"

I've been wanting to read that. I read Gentleman of Her Dreams (Ladies of Distinction, #0.5) by Jen Turano by the same author almost a year ago & really enjoyed it! ;)

message 1525: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) I haven't but I've heard a lot of his wit and anecdotes which I often thought was funny, but Dorian wasn't that. Are any of them more lighthearted/funny? Do you have a fave? :)

message 1526: by Evelynn (new)

Evelynn (authorgirlev) | 450 comments I'm reading Mozart's Sister (Ladies of History, #1) by Nancy Moser , but I have to keep putting it down. The travels are interesting, but slightly monotonous. Same with the whole why-won't-Papa-and-Mother-let-me-perform-as-much-as-Wolfie attitude that Nannerl keeps bringing up. But other than that, it's very interesting.

After getting my hands on my bro-in-law's "Complete Works of Oscar Wilde"... I decided that I had to have this -- The Plays of Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde for myself!
I think (though I can't remember for sure) that my favorite was The Importance of Being Earnest or maybe An Ideal Husband. Hard to choose! I'll just have to read them again, I guess! ;)

This is my 6th mystery.I have really been enjoying them.I think you will really like Footsteps in the Dark by Georgette Heyer .It is really cute and funny.I wouldn't start with Penhallow(I did but I know what I was walking or should I say reading into). It is very different form all the other mysteries of hers I have read and it is very dark.Well at least I thought so.
