Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 215 comments Well...sidetracked again. Read most of "The Shadow of a Sin" by Bertha M. Clay before I even picked up the other book again. It's free on Project Gutenburg, if any if you are interested in old-fashioned romance. But leave an hour or two free for once you get past the beginning!

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book we moved back from London, yes to a short term temporary rental while we waited to close on our old house - which we finally did. Now we're moving into a long term rental house until we know what's going on with a job for hubby :-) it's a pain in the butt but you do what you gotta do.

Evelynn (authorgirlev) | 450 comments Rereading my favorite book, Joseph by Terri L. Fivash Joseph, for the third time. ^_^ Also reading Sweet Strings of Love (The Chloe Celeste Chronicles, #3) by Kay D. Rizzo Sweet Strings of Love, which is the third book in a series I'm trying to finish. Ugh - I'm only 23% into it. :P I keep getting interrupted, thus the profile picture.

Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 1278 comments I am reading Powder And Patch by Georgette Heyer .It is not one of her best novels. On finishing the book:It's Okay.It has way to much untranslated french and it is too short to have much character development.

message 1126: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 215 comments Read Anna Katharine Green's "The House in the Mist" this morning. A short mystery, without all the twists usually included in her full-length books, but still a very good story.

message 1129: by Carol (new)

Carol (goodreadscomcarolann) | 214 comments Hi! I haven't been around lately. I'm currently reading Biography: Writing Lives which I hope will help me in writing a biography of an exceptional 19th century female. I'm currently writing and I'm starting the research process next week. It should take awhile since I have, at least, five places I've discovered.

I hope everyone has a great Easter!

message 1131: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) Here are the fiction books I'm currently reading:

Courting Morrow Little by Laura Frantz
The Heiress's Homecoming by Regina Scott (hope to finish this tomorrow)
It Happened At The Fair by Deeanne Gist
Desecration by Jennifer Hartz
Temptation by Travis Thrasher
The Aristocrat's Lady by Mary Moore

message 1132: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 215 comments Melanie is nearly as diversified as I am... ;)

I have four hard copies currently in progress:
"The Lilac Sunbonnet" by S.R. Crockett (very thick book)
"The Bow of Orange Ribbon" by Amelia Barr (very small and portable)
"A Gentleman of France" by Stanley Weyman (reread)
"The General's Double" by Charles King (Civil War story)

I tend to finish ebooks in one or two sittings. Tonight's was "What's-His-Name" by George Barr McCutcheon. I gave it two stars for a defective ending. Now I'll never know what happened next!
