Yes! Especially when I have a big pile to choose from - I have the hardest time deciding what to read next. I try to mix it up with genres but sometimes I just get in a pattern of reading a certain genre so that makes the decision making process harder lol

I always have that problem!! Takes me an evening when I might be reading the new book to decide which book I am going to read!

In other news I did put

I used to plan ahead but then looked at my list and thought 'i don't want to read that one yet' so planning is pointless!

Well, you definitely shouldn't waste precious reading time on books that you won't like! :)

precisely. :)

plus I just found out that it's 12th in a line of books with the main character lol - oh well, I've done it before with other books/authors and enjoyed the books just as well even without having had read any previous in the lines so hopefully that will happen with this one too :-)

Well I couldn't get into Beauvallet I think I am on a Heyer burn out and even Regency/Historical burn out.I think I will read a YA fantasy.Plus I still have to reread Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince before March 19 when the third book comes out.I few fantasy and/or sci-fi and I will need a Regency/Georgian/Historical book again.

Geez...12th book? Lol Knew it was a series, but sheesh..lol Let me know how it goes. I may need to read the first book if I decide to read it.

lol will do. I can tell you that I'm only a few pages in so far but so far I don't feel as though I've missed anything by not reading any previous books. I'll let you know if that changes.

The Old Man and the Sea
I enjoyed this book. At 127 pages, The Old Man and the Sea was a quick read. I managed to read the entire novel in just under an hour. It was a touching and thought-provoking tale. I admired Santiago's determination and his refusal to let his spirit be broken. I loved Ernest Hemingway's writing style. I thought it was very similar to John Steinbeck's style (who is my favourite author by the way). Although it is a very short novel, the story got quite slow and repetitive in places. It is a good novel but I honestly didn't think it was worthy of the Pulitzer Prize it won in 1953.

Lean Mean Thirteen
I enjoyed this book but I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the previous instalment, Twelve Sharp. The plot was predictable and virtually nothing happened in it to develop the characters further. I'm getting tired of the love triangle with Joe Morelli and Ranger and I wish Stephanie would finally choose one of them or else dump them both and date someone new! Janet Evanovich has let this go on for far too long and now there's no sexual tension left between the characters.

Now I'm halfway through

reading: Sense and Sensibility!!!!"
Hope you're enjoying S&S! It's probably my second favourite Austen novel <3
I am currently reading Denyse Beaulieu's The Perfume Lover: A Personal History of Scent, Edith Wharton's Bunner Sisters and (slowly but surely) St. Anselm's The Major Works

I might try S&S since I liked the movie so much, but I probably won't like it - I just don't care for the writing style of most of the classics. But it's worth a shot.
In the meantime I'm not sure what I'm reading next.

I've started "The Mountain Girl" by Payne Erskine (ebook) and am reading "The Crossways" by Helen R. Martin (hard copy) and rereading/officially finishing instead of skimming to get to the great ending "A Gentleman of France" by Stanley John Weyman.
