WORST Song to Have STUCK in Your Head?

a great series though, the Japanese theme tune is much better. And the ultimate deterrent that they use is hilarious.
A number of years ago a car drove past me blaring out Cher 'Do You Believe In Life After Love?' just as I walked into work. It was stuck on heavy rotation in my head for the whole day at work. Eight very painful hours.

or
the single line from James Blunt: "you're beautiful, it's true..."
And now I hate myself, because both are stuck in alternating rounds.

I only know 4 lines of this song, and 3 of them are identical. This officially..."
Crap Melki! I was virus free and feeling wickedly smug about Wonky Eye, and now dang it - I'm all "We are siamee..eese if you plee..ease!" I'm sure I'll be singing it at tionights's Chamber banquet. I think I'll share...

Are you with me?
Argh! Gotta agree with the Queen songs. Some of the worst lyrics ever written, yet they're glued to the catchiest tunes in the world. A deadly combination for getting stuck in the brain...

My youngest son had a brief obsession with Bob the Builder. One day my husband made up a story about Bob's hapless encounter with Roley the Road Roller, and we sang "Bob the Pancake" forever after that.

Hahahaha that's fantastic, how did he take it?
It probably explains a lot about why he is the way he is.
And the answer to can he fix it, is of course, "No, sireee!" as pancakes don't seem to have much in the way of opposable thumbs.

HAhahaaha too funny! I don't know if anyone watched "Jeeves and Wooster" anymore but the thyme song gets stuck in my head terribly. It is nice at first but after a day or two it gets very old.

"I whip my hair back and forth! I whip my hair back and forth!'
And that because its the only freaking thing the kid says through the whole song!!
CRAP! Now its stuck in my head again!
BTW I love Jeeves and Wooster! So funny!

Great! Now, see what you've done, lol,(sings) "I can't get it out of my head" lol
Whose idea was this again??!!

Calliope - If you haven't seen it, then you absolutely must check out Jimmy Fallon as Neil Young singing this song. And the real Bruce Springsteen joins in! Google it or try:

I'd say curse you, but its what she's been watching for the last half hour... we're onto Team Omizoomi now, which has a song that sounds like Benders Broken Robot song from Futurama in it.

Sounds like a fun game Rodney. If only I could sing, I'd give it a try.

Wow! I think I'd rather have tinnitus ringing around my head than Neil Diamond.

You don't have to know how to sing. In fact it makes it work much better if you don't. In a low voice, sing an obscure part of the song and stop. Your victim, then has to subconsciously work out in his head where he knows that from. By the time he/she has figured it out, it is deeply imbedded in their head. If you are off key, then it takes longer to figure out, making it worse!

You must have a strong marriage to survive that kind of torture

It's a matter of perspective, we both know our intent is good, so it just becomes a fun game.

Here in the UK it is a very popular funeral song. Not sure if it's the same in the US.

Until you choose the wrong song and she can't get it out of her head, so she starts sneaking Ex-Lax into your meals? :-)

I don't even know the words to that one Lisa. And I'm not going to listen to them in case the same happens to me.
I only know 4 lines of this song, and 3 of them are identical. This officially beats the time I had "We Are Siamese If You Please" in my head for an entire afternoon.
What's the worst sticky-song you've experienced? And what do you do to make it go away?
