Ok, if anyone has read this series please tell me if it's one that picks up. If not, please spare me reading the rest and tell me if there is any reason a 14 yr old girl shouldn't read it. I'm over halfway through the book, the plot was obvious after the first 3 chapters
Ok, my OCD forced me to finish the first book, but I will not be continuing the series. After the Guild hunter series I'd thought to try another author before jumping right into Psy-Changlings, but I think it has to be next on the list, mostly because I already have them all. lol
I know I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment most likely, but I'm reading
. I can't just follow a series through 21 books and then not read #22. I know, I am weak. *sniffles* On the bright side, I'm several chapters in and the plot is still the main focus! Thus far, I remain Hopeful!
I'll mix up my book a lot . Have a hard time to read the same author 3,4 or more books in a row if the series has more. So I just finished " the Kindling Heart" which I liked after I finished " Neanderthal seeksHuman" which I loved. ... Now starting something very different - " A Kiss at Midnight" from the Spindle Cove series.
I just read
I enjoyed it...advertised as PNR but it certainly was also very sci-fi to me. Travel between dimensions into alternate realities of our existence on Earth. I only wish it were a little more techy in it's writing....otherwise pretty good. What I liked alot is how in this alternate dimension, vampires/shifters were the species that evolved from humans as they died off from a virus that wiped us out in their ancient times. And although they had alot of the same traits as we read in vampire fiction, in this world they also evolved into a unique being, not having the same history.
Of the shifters and vampires it is the vamps who have a more technologically advanced society. And the author did a great job of using pack mentality and behavior of real wolves into the dynamic of the packs of shifters in this novel. Very interesting take.

I read the prequel (about 100pgs) and really liked it. they are so bad-a** the page cannot contain them.
I am by no means a newbie to paranormal romance but I just recently realised that I've missed out on one of this biggest names in paranormal J .R Ward. So I couldn't call myself a paranormal romance junkie and not read at least on right? so I jumped straight into Dark LoverBut I'm struggling.. I need some romance and angst in my from my vamps but so far all I'm getting is a bunch of stuffy old vamps in the middle of some kind of warrior/slayer turf war. will someone pleeeease give me some hope that this series will go in the direction I'm after or is this not a romance series at all??

I just started a new book. It's an urban fantasy. I really enjoying so far.
Then I'm going to start
. So many good books, so little time. :)
