So you were happy with the movie Rachel? I just hate when you watch a movie and then it leaves you with this weird strange sad feeling afterward that you just can't shake.
btw, I like how you say "the ugly cry" I don't think I have anything but an ugly cry lol.

Yes! It was so good! It had a good ending, but I wish I would have known that throughout the movie because I knew nothing going in. I don't want to spoil it for you, but i will tell you it has a happy ending :)!!

Rachel (rachelwallace) Btw, I have had a weird angry feeling today because one of my favorite authors (Amanda hocking) isn't finishing her final book in the blood approves series! And she announced that two of the characters (Peter and Alice) who in my opinion and many others, are meant to be together aren't ever going to be!!!!!! It feels like a tragedy.

Omg! What???? She isn't finishing it and they aren't going to be together...eghhh that is so annoying. I don't think she belongs with the other guy, w/e his name is.

message 55: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) Didi, Yes, Amanda said that at the end of Wisdom, Alice clearly makes her choice, and that doesn't change in Swear. In her head, that's how the series played out, but she doesn't want to write it because so many people are upset about Alice and Peter not being together, that she can't get motivated to finish it, just to get hate mail.

message 56: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) I started On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves last night. Not PNR, but it had good reviews so I thought I'd try it. Anyone read it??

I love that series too, I saw she put it on hold now she's not finishing it that does stink, I can't say I'm sad I liked peter but I did like Jack alittle more I don't know why he got annoying at times but I thinks its just cause he loves alice so much. I really like amanda's work too have you read her books?

message 66: by Katrina (new)

Katrina Are you like me and have multiple series and/or authors that you love so much you can't wait to see what comes out next for them? I have about a dozen series that I follow religiously and a few authors that I will buy sight unseen. I find it hard sometimes to keep track of all of them and not miss something. I found this website and wanted to share it with you. I hope you find it as valuable as I do.

What the ...! Yes, it's Elisabeth Naughton's series. I highly recommend it! Some people have had trouble with book one, but I was hooked from the beginning.

Katrina I just finished Steel Beauty (Halle Pumas, #4) by Dana Marie Bell and will be starting Only in My Dreams (Halle Pumas, #5) by Dana Marie Bell later tonight.

These are short books and the author is great. The books are funny, sexy and sweet. I laughed so hard on the last book that the author made it into my favorites category.

Katya I am reading Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston

ehhh...its okay. I like my shifters overbearing and Alphas all the way....he is a bit of an odd character. Probably someone I would rather meet in real life. But I'll continue to see where this goes.

message 78: by Katrina (new)

Katrina I just finished Die for Me Die for Me (Revenants, #1) by Amy Plum by Amy Plum. Has anyone else read this yet? I kept seeing the adds here and how it kept referencing Twilight i.e. If you like twilight blah blah blah. I started reading this with Twilight on the brain and I found it hard to get into the story. About mid way through I put all other books out of my mind and was able to enjoy the story. So I recommend that if you do read it don't think too hard on Twilight or any of the other YA Paranormal Romances and you'll do fine.

I'm strictly a one fiction plus one nonfiction book reader. I like to live in one PNR at a time.

I'm living in Darkness Bound (Chimney Rock #1) by Stella Cameron right now.

message 84: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) Anyone read the soul screamers series? Should I? Also has anyone read the selection, not sure of the author but I think its YA? Ready to buy some books and not sure what to get

Read Wuthering Frights (Dulcie O'Neil, #4) by H.P. Mallory Loved it! H.P. Mallory is so great, if you haven't tried her out you must do so!

message 86: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) SO, I was up way too late last night finishing Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12) by Charlaine Harris . I freaking hate this series now. Charlaine totally ruined it, the first few books were amazing...and now they are just such crap. Its like Charlaine is depressed and hates life, so she takes it out on her characters in these books. geez what a waste.

Wow Rachel! Tell me how you really feel, lol! I totally agree with you, some series just die after a certain number of books. She shouldn't have agreed to stretch the story so thin. If she didn't have enough content for 13/14 books she should have just said I can't or I will ruin my integrity as an author.

message 88: by Ute (new)

Ute (ucarlin) | 28 comments I am currently reading the third book if the House of Comarre - love it , can definitely recommend it.

Before that, I read Eternal Seduction and thought it was pretty good as well.

message 89: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) Didi, read it...then we can bash it together! I am just so upset. I don't know what else to say because I don't want to spoil anything.

message 90: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyh8324) well that doesn't sound good, i'm still only on like chapter 5 but already it is kinda draging over her other books... maybe thats why its taking me so long to get into it... but i will continue on so i can bash right along with you guys!

message 91: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) Yay Becky do that!

message 92: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rachelwallace) Should we make a Deadlocked thread? One of my biggest problems with these books is I can't frickin remember what happened in the last book because its been a year. I try to search wiki etc, but half the time I am like "who the heck is that person, WHAT? there was a bombing at merlotts?" lol These last books have been so depressing, I have enough of my own issues I want to read to escape them not get pissed off. haha ;)
