I'm pretty sure these are o.k, but just want to double-check!1. Ella Minnow Pea (as in pea soup or mashed peas)
2. The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East (lemonade, sliced lemon in drinks)
Jennifer N (#52) and Ann A (#53) - OK! Jennifer, I consider cider to be a little like wine (also asked about earlier in this thread) - does not need to be heated to be drunk at home.

Another question...At The Sign Of The Sugared Plum - can I use that for 'sugared plum' which is a baked dessert (for book 2) or just the 'plum' part for book 1? And if I could use it for either/or could I also use that one book as fulfilling that one task? Thanks!
Would chocolate be a cooked food or uncooked? It's cooked to make it initially, but then we eat it "raw" ;)
Debra (#56) - OKBecky (#58) - see post 3. I accept chocolate for either option.
Kim (#57) - From the description on wikipedia, I would say that this fits option 2 - no heat involved. You'll need to read another book for option 1 to fulfil this task (which is a two-book task). Happy reading!
Interesting what you found about sugarplums. When I googled I came up with actual recipes that involved baking. Huh. I'll find books to fit this task yet!~ Back to the drawing board.

"Yes, it would work for the cover sub-option for option 2, but not the title sub-option in either.
Cindy AL wrote: "Ice cream, cooked or not?? There are also blueberries, so I could use them too.
"Hi Cindy, this is fine for option 2.
