1. Mad as a March hare:
- Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything- From your TBR. I'm listening to it on audio now and it is different from any book I've ever read.
2. Non Compos Mentis:
- Anna Dressed in Blood- From your TBR. It's the first in a series and on my TBR as well. I'll list it as a possible buddy read option also.
3. (Not So) Sweet 16:
- The Three Musketeers- From your TBR. Very old book, but it is one of my favorites.
4. The lights are on, but nobody's home:
- Dark Kiss- This series is new to us both, but it's getting good reviews and sounds pretty interesting.
5. Elite 8:
- Catching Jordan- Not on your TBR. Young adult novel based on a female football player. Sounds pretty good.
6. Nutty as a fruitcake:
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home- I saw you have a few graphic novels on your shelf, so I thought I'd recommend this series since you like fantasy as well. It's one of my faves.
7. Final 4:
- Chill Factor- I see you gave good ratings to the first two books in this series. This is the next in the series.
8. Neither rhyme nor reason:
- The Namesake- Just a totally random pick from page 9 of your TBR.
9. Buddy Read...Chicken or Egg?
Team Egg:
Anna Dressed in Blood
Catching Jordan

I love Cat and Bones - can't go wrong ☺

I think I'll read Chill Factor this month because I'm really enjoying the series.
I wanted to read Anna Dressed in Blood but I can't find it in the libraries. And I've already exceeded my allowance on books this month.

Thanks, Pam. Make sure you post them today though.

I think I'll be reading Two + One = Ecstasy and Fifty Shades Freed.

1. Mad as a March hare: Book with an original premise, a funky title or set in Canada..."
Thanks for the recs Cheryl. There are a lot here that I want to read! I'll definitely be reading Catching Fire this month. And I'm going to see which other ones I can fit into my other challenges. Right now I'm leaning towards Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (I've been meaning to get back to historicals) and Cinder. Or maybe one of the others. Choices, choices...
I'm up for the buddy read of The Gargoyle. Like you I've been meaning to pick this one up for ages and I love a good buddy read. But I probably can't get to it until the second half of the month. I've got the J.D. Robb buddy read starting the 15th, so I could fit it in anytime after that. Around the 18-20th or so. Would that work for you?

Coffeentea, great picks thanks added them all to my TBR list. I'll read Catching Fire and One for the Money for sure, and I'd like to do Until There was You buddy-read if you're up for it. I'm also going to try and get to Show No Mercy. Thanks again for the great picks!

I hope you find something here you like, please let me know if would like me to choose some others :)
1. Mad as a March hare:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Starfire Angels
Trickster's Choice
2. Non Compos Mentis:
Hex Hall- great YA with witches and other other-worldly creatures.
Dead Until Dark- Sookie Stackhouse series- love it.
Angels' Flight
3. (Not So) Sweet 16:
Tempting the Beast
Elizabeth's Wolf- these are both on your tbr and both have great alpha males. EW is my all-time favorite Breed book. TTB is the first one and gives good backround info for future novels.
4. The lights are on, but nobody's home:
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side
Thirty Nights with a Highland Husband
My Shifter Showmance- these are all paranormal recs from GR based on my pnr shelf. I noticed you read a lot of pnr :)
5. Elite 8:
Taking a Shot-on your tbr but #3 is series
The Perfect Play- first in series if you want to start at the beginning
6. Nutty as a fruitcake:
When Beauty Tamed the Beast
Charming the Prince- both of these are historicals that I loved and you don't have a lot of historicals on your shelves.
7. Final 4:
The Road-post-apocalyptic and amazing.
Mind Game- I love this series, you are up to this one.
Lover Enshrined- also love, the latest for you.
8. Neither rhyme nor reason:
Hunting Season
A Game of Thrones
Silent Blade- I really liked this one.
9. Buddy Read...Chicken or Egg?
Silver Shark
Existence
Shadows

1. Mad as a March hare: From your TBR First Grave on the Right I was given this for a challenge in the fall--love the character and premise is pretty cool.
2. Non Campos Mentis: Magic Bites I have been devouring these--love the tension between Kate and Curran.
3. (Not So) Sweet 16: In honor of Charles Dickens 200th birthday, I'm going with A Tale of Two Cities. A classic love story on so many levels.
4. The lights are on, but nobody's home: Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between Never heard of book or author but on my Goodreads recommendations from my PIFM list.
5. Elite 8: Most of my sports-themed are Susan Elizabeth Phillips which you've also read. What about He Loves Lucy?
6. Nutty as a fruitcake: The Girl Who Chased the Moon Sarah Addison Allen was another PIFM recommendation. This is my favorite of the ones I've read (although I actually listened to this one)
7. Final 4: We both like the Spellmans and the new one is out Trail of the Spellmans
8. Neither rhyme nor reason: So I went to your TBR and randomly picked a page and the one I chose hasn't been published yet hopefully so choice 2: Spider's Bite
9. Buddy Read...Chicken or Egg?
So being from Team Egg-first in a series that has been on my TBR forever Uglies
Sorry for the delay...I'm usually much earlier.

Great list Fran, thanks! I am definitely going to read [book:Angels' Flight as soon as the copy I ordered comes in the mail. I will also try to get a hold of The Perfect Play and Tempting the Beast, if I can get them from the library in time. A lot of others that look good there if there's time.

Thanks Kate-They all look great. I'm going to start with [book:No Place to Run because I'm pretty sure I own that book. I love the title for Boycotts and Barflies though so that might be second. Hopefully this month will be a better reading month than last month.

Lemme know when you're ready to start with Poison Study I'd love to discuss the book with you :)

Just finished the first one of your recs, Will Work for Prom Dress and it was really good. I got to a point where I just couldn't put it down. Thanks for recommending it. I haven't decided which one I am starting next. I'll have to see what I can fit in amidst all my review books! You gave me so many good recs though, that I want to read at least 3 or 4 more!

Ive finished the first of your recs No Place to Run - it made me wonder why I took so long to get round to it. I love to read escapist books like this where you just get swept aliong with the plot and excitement.

2.NonCompos Mentis: Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep (Law and Magic also on your TBR List)
3.(Not So)Sweet 16: The Secret by Julie Garwood (published 1992 / I love this author and this book!)
4.The lights are on, but nobody's home: Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter (Recommendation that matched my Angels,Demons,Magic Users,Must Read,Shifters,Vampire,Witches/Warlocks Shelves. I took that as a sign. lol)
5.Elite 8: The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton (Yes, the cover is Hot! It is about a Football player.)
6.Nutty as a fruitcake: I will give you a choice bc I am not sure what you exact limits are for books. Both books are in a genre I don't read from often but I got a recommendation for and fell in love with these books.
Flat-Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy (Contemporary Romance)
Or
Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair (Contemporary/Erotica Romance, I just found this series and have read 4 books in under a week. I really enjoy these)
7.Final 4: Angelfall by Susan Ee (Post apocalyptic book / Loved It!)
8.Neither rhyme nor reason: Reckless Magic by Rachel Higginson (Your TBR List Random pick that sounded interesting)
9.Buddy Read...Chicken or Egg?
If you are from Team Egg (e), recommend a 1st in a series that you'd both like to read.
Song of the Moon by Catherine Banks (1st book in series we are both interested in reading)

The Cinderella Deal - 3 Stars (just because of the storyline!)
I started this and quickly realized that I read this book years ago. How could I have read a book and not remember ever picking it up? Probably because once I put it down I wished I had never picked it up to begin with. To be honest I enjoyed the book itself. It was well written, the premise and storyline were pretty good as well. But the heroine leaves so much to be desired that if not for the strong, although arrogant hero (And let's face it when is the hero not portrayed as arrogant in a romance novel, so we can't hold that against Crusie) I would have definitely passed on it. She can single handedly set women's lib back a century. Sorry, but I've read better books by Jennifer Crusie.
Would I recommend it? Probably not. The stroy had promise, but I wouldn't recommend it. Not unless you can overlook the immature bubble-headed idiot that's supposed to be our heroine.

I did, I can't wait to read the other books in the series but I am going to finish the list you gave me first...I hope that this series still has Declan and Rose in. I hate series sometimes when they completely change the characters out. I suppose we shall see

The next book is about William and his woman. I really liked it. I am still on the third and I just can't seem to get through it. But it is due back at the library by the 5th so I shall be pushing through.
Umm...apologies if I missed the post, but I don't think I have my recs yet???

Yes, you do. Diane was one of the first players that posted the recs (see link below.)

Does it have declan and rose in it at least. I just seems like their story needs to continue a little while longer.
Hey Diane,
Thanks for the great recs. I've added a few to my TBR. I'm going to read Knock Me For A Loop.

So Lauren you have to tell me what you thought about Gin and Spider's Bite.

I loved it. I can;t wait to read more in the series and find out what happens with her sister and Donovan and Mab. I couldn't put it down. My husband had to take to book from me when I fell asleep so I didn't drop my kindle on the floor. i am getting ready to start the secret now. I am loving your pics so far. Thank you so much!

I have finished my buddy read How to Marry a Duke. Let me know if you get a chance to read it, I really enjoyed it.
Megan

I finished the second recommendation this morning Skin Game by Ava Gray - I've had this book for over a year and I want to thank you for recommending it because I don't think I would ever have gotten round to reading it. It's the first in a series of four and not only have I now downloaded the other 3 to my kindle I spent today reading the second as well. Loved it!
