Nicole Quigley (nicolequigley) Hi, everyone! I tought I'd introduce myself and my book, Like Moonlight at Low Tide (Zondervan/Harper Collins). USA Today calls it "...a darkly poignant inspirational romance that will linger in the mind well after reading it" and made it a recommended teen read. I am proud to share it just won the ACFW "Carol Award" for best young adult fiction.

Promo: The soft cover is out this month and it's on Kindle for .99 right now!

ABOUT LIKE MOONLIGHT AT LOW TIDE
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
When high school junior Melissa Keiser returns to her hometown of Anna Maria Island, Florida, she has one goal: hide from the bullies who had convinced her she was the ugliest girl in school. But when she is caught sneaking into a neighbor’s pool at night, everything changes. Something is different now that Melissa is sixteen, and the guys and popular girls who once made her life miserable have taken notice. When Melissa gets the chance to escape life in a house ruled by her mom’s latest boyfriend, she must choose where her loyalties lie between a long-time crush, a new friend, and her surfer brother who makes it impossible to forget her roots. Just as Melissa seems to achieve everything she ever wanted, she loses a loved one to suicide. Melissa must not only grieve for her loss, she must find the truth about the three boys who loved her and discover that joy sometimes comes from the most unexpected place of all.

This is my debut novel. I would be honored to have your critiques and reviews, and I'm hoping GoodReads readers will vote for Like Moonlight to appear on some the great lists we have on the site. I'd love to hear from you!

:)

Steven Luna | 1 comments Hi folks. I'm Steven Luna, and after writing the adult humor Joe Vampire series I've switched gears and shifted to teen/young adult novels. I've always been a fan of the genre and began my writing career writing fantasy novels for middle-grade and early teen readers. It's nice to be back in the mode again.

Starting out my YA reboot with an emotional book called Songs from the Phenomenal Nothing. It's the story of 17 year-old guitar prodigy Tyler Mills, who becomes a bit angst-ridden after his mother's death. The Amazon blurb summarizes it best:

-----

It’s just me and him. Him and me. A man I can’t comprehend, designated by the universe as my father but someone I prefer to call Tom, and a kid he can’t relate to but calls son anyway because he’s determined to try. I really wish he’d just call me Tyler.

He probably wishes I’d call him Dad.

But I’m not comfortable with that at this point.

Our differences and our lack of mutual understanding are the only things we seem to agree on. And even those get heated sometimes.

Seriously, it’s a miracle that we haven’t hurt each other yet.

I’m not sure how much longer we can hold out.

***

Seventeen year-old guitar prodigy Tyler Mills has become lost in the aftermath of his mother’s death. Disconnected more and more from his father, he takes refuge from it all in two things: his music and his girlfriend. But everything changes with the chance discovery of his mother’s journal—and the long-held family secret within that could alter his life forever.

-----

It's a highly emotionally-charged novel, something I would qualify in the same category as Perks of Being a Wallflower and Fault in our Stars. Anyone who's ever wondered how they could possibly be related to their parents (or their children) is sure to find resonance in this intimate portrait of a young man seeking truth after his life is thrown into a tailspin.

My publisher Booktrope and will be holding a drawing on October 1 for a signed paperback copy of the book. A name will be chosen at random from among those who've read and reviewed the book on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. We'll also be holding Goodreads giveaways in October. Be sure to look for those, too.

If anyone reads and enjoys the book and would like to make contact - or just wants to see the silly stuff I say on the internet on a daily basis - feel free to check my author page on Goodreads, or find me on Twitter as @TheStevenLuna and on facebook at facebook.com/thestevenluna.

Thank you - I look forward to meeting and chatting with many of you here and on the web at large!

Vaughn Edward (VaughnEdward) | 2 comments Hello Everyone! Please visit my website and read the first book in my Young Adult Fantasy Series.

WARRIOR CHILDREN: Legendary Three

It’s been 3300 years. They’ve finally come back.
When last seen, the sons of Kala, Arul and Gaia were sent from the Otherworlds to end the reign of the merciless demon king, Mephistopheles. Since that historical time, a new and deadlier presence has arisen. An archaic demon, Moloch, inherited the powers of his family lineage just before the banishing of his brother by the Great Wizard and Mikhae of the El Dynasty.

Humanity has now come to a crux, and all are spiraling toward complete and utter destruction. It is up to Edward, Gene and Christopher to teach the peoples of the lands and to train warriors in the ways of the gods. Born from the light of the Otherworlds, they have chosen their Guardian Watchers to protect them until they are granted the boon of immortality. Will the help from their Guardian Watchers, a few allied gods and some invincible weapons be enough to overthrow the countless armies that are terrorizing the people from land to land?
Find out. Before it’s too late…

Hey C.G, I just purchased a Kindle copy of your book! I LOVE the cover art, and after reading the description and first few pages, it seems like a good, interesting read.

I have recently self-published the first two books of a trilogy (see my above post) and I know how important it is to get peer reviews. (and hard to get it too!!!) I am currently working on my third and final book (Descent) so I likely won't get to read yours for a bit, but when I do I will absolutely write up a review on Amazon (I know how important and hard reviews are to come by!!)

Good luck in your endeavor (from one independent writer to another), it is a difficult market to break through on your own. I think you have a great start though with your excellent artwork and interesting plot. (looks well edited too)

Candice Lee Goodreads Giveaway of ten books ends March 3!
The Innocent: A Myth

When Alexa Wyndham starts attending college in Manhattan, she expects to worry about her grades, where her classes are, and if her roommate is going to be weird, not whether an incubus will be coming through her window every night.

Alexa thinks she is just like every other book-nerd and Freshman, but the truth is the guy her mom had a one night stand with nineteen years ago wasn’t human. So, when she goes out on Valentine’s Day and gets a kiss from a stranger, though it's stunning, it's because he wants to eat her. The guy who saves her that night is Cristien La Roche, an eight-hundred-year-old knight. He isn’t human either. He’s an Incubus, and he’s killed every woman he’s ever held. Poor Alexa is on everybody's menu. She can’t seem to catch a break, or can she?

The Innocent is a breathtaking novel about the often treacherous, sometimes exhilarating, and every now and again funny path that leads to true love.

Deborah Ann | 109 comments Hello all. I have a couple Goodreads giveaways going on right now and wanted to pass on the information for those of you who might be interested. The first giveaway is for two print copies of ‘Fate’s Path,’ Book Two in ‘The Destiny Series’—a young adult romance, with a bit of a paranormal / fairy tale twist. ‘Destiny’ is the first book in the series, and I plan to include a copy of that for the winners as well.

Where the first book follows more of the romance, the second has more adventure and surprises and twists. Both books in ‘The Destiny Series’ are full length novels, so the preview’s on Amazon, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble’s sites take you into about chapter four.

The second giveaway is for four print copies of my new release ‘Memory Betrayal’ a new adult / adult contemporary romance. Available on iBooks, as well as the sites mentioned above.

Memory Betrayal is the story of college student Elliana Brandt and her twist of fate journey with wealthy CEO Grayson Dane.

Elliana Brandt avoids men like Grayson Dane as one would the plague.

Womanizer Grayson Dane has never met a woman he didn’t like, or that he couldn’t have.

So when a chance meeting brings him to her rescue and disinterested Elliana simply thanks him afterwards and leaves, stunned Grayson goes out after her, snatches her from the sidewalk before she can hail a cab, and forces her into his Escalade, unaware of the tragedy he was about to inflict on her, or that he’d wake up in a hospital bed, her at his side, with everyone under the impression that she is his wife. Including Elliana herself.

The ball was already rolling, what could he do…?

Share Elliana and Grayson’s story of unexpected love, betrayal, heartbreak, past secrets, and healing.

Here are the links, for those of you who would like to check it out.

Darren Pryce (traorekaledin) | 1 comments Four Parts of the Universe by Darren H. Pryce

“Four Parts Of the Universe” is a story for everyone, who still believes in Love. It's not just a love story, though. It’s about eternal love, the kind that never ends, the one that lasts for more than one life. The kind of love everyone is searching for. Except for maybe, Matt - he’s too busy living the classic rock-star’s dream featuring music, drugs and girls. Lots of them, to be honest. It’s all going great until begins to fall apart.
Rain, on the other hand, is a dreamer. She recovers from one failed relationship and, with her eyes wide open, jumps straight into another. Her passion for antiques drags her into a new adventure that, like every castle-builder’s wish, begins in dreams.
Wishful thinking is not something, Ed is familiar with. His life used to be strictly practical, however, Ed suffers from solitude, that even he fails to recognise. Even in a relationship he is still being lonesome. But changing that means changing his whole life.
Changes are also the thing Charlie is craving for. She’s been playing warm family life for long enough to get tired, so now she is ready for another step. Only she has no idea, where exactly is that step supposed to be leading her and how many people she might hurt on her new way.

In their Universe everything and everyone is connected, but that’s yet to be learnt.

Hi Tara!
Thanks for the support. I wanted to check out your first novel, but there was no longer a kindle page listed for it on Amazon. Is it only available in paperback now?

Hey C.G.! Sorry about that, I pulled the ebook, because I entered it in the Amazon breakthrough author contest and decided to do another hard edit on it. I will be uploading a new, improved version by the end of this week. I will post a link here once it is done!

Josephine O'Brien Hi all,
We are all in the same boat here, aren't we?
First, I want to say, I think we're all brilliant!! Getting down to it and putting our books out there- well done us! (As Maeve Binchy said to a taxi driver who dismissively remarked 'well, anyone can write a book, can't they?' She replied, 'yes, but they DON'T!)

Next, how can we support each other? I published Shared Skies a few weeks ago, a ya fantasy:

Gaiah has gotten used to the fact that she can occasionally, (maybe) make people do what she wants, however, trying to hide the fact that her hair grows beyond her waist every night is driving her crazy and her frustration is released on a gang of bullies in school, with repercussions she could never have imagined. Parallel worlds and falling for a gorgeous boy are just the tip of the iceberg for Gaiah.

Or there's an excerpt here, on Goodreads.

Can we share tips, reviews and even bolster each other up with any good luck stories?
Any thoughts?
Josephine.

D. C. Taylor (DCTaylor) | 2 comments Hi. My new book, Promise Me, is currently available for free on Amazon Kindle devices! Deal ends 2/25. I'd love to get some feedback and reviews.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJMZYP2

Many promises are made in high school. Many hearts are broken.

Murphy High head cheerleader Jessica Riley seems to have it all. She has social status, smarts and so many admirers; she’ll never be the girl who frets about not having a date for homecoming, or prom….or anything. She also has the attention of the star quarterback, Wade Quinlan, who sees his opportunity to get the girl he’s had a crush on since grade school. It’s a match made in high school heaven.

But when the new kid, Lucas Foster, catches her eye Jessica finds herself in a struggle with who should win her heart: Lucas, who is new and complicated…and hot by every girl’s estimation, or Wade who is a tried and true friend?

Well, I got the edit done, and boy am I glad I did it! It was decent before, but now I feel really good about it. It had been nine months since I published it and I have now learned that you REALLY benefit from putting a manuscript aside for awhile before doing a final edit!

Anyways...here is a link. Bloodline Book One of the Forgotten Origins Trilogy by Tara Ellis

It doesn't have the cover linked yet, but here is a direct link the amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Bloodline-Forgo...

I'm taking a week off now before starting on the third and final book. I plan on reading your book during this time!

They claim they can help her, but she has to find out the price—because trouble's followed the pack into town, and it's on B's tail most of all.

Now, with a feral wolf on the hunt, schemes unraveling the pack from within, and B's family and new friends in danger, she's going to need all the strength she can get…
