Hmm. I've been doing Homework and trying to get at least a B, C, D or E in my behaviour. I'm sick of A's..

Also, i'm pretty wrapped up in schoolwork.

What's up? (actual question)

Ahhh. It must be tough, being so smart and all. Not much is up. I was looking at the stars tonight. Their beauty is stunning when caught in the clear.

*Recites what she thought Shakespeare would say*
"Water. water, everywhere. Nor a single drop to drink."

(sorry, had too much pepsi and a bit hyper, lol!) :P :P: :P

Is it raining where you live?

message 106: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Shakespeare huh? No it isn't raining. The stars are twinkling and well, not to sound silly but there's a special kind of beauty to them tonight and I decided I would tell someone about it. What's the weather doing where you are?

@Julius - it's tough for us smart people...

I don't think I've seen snowdrop flowers.

Do you wear any jewellery regularly?

message 112: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments I always wear earrings (usually my birthstone studs, I even sleep in them) and during the day I usually have on a necklace (either a cross, my pirate medallion or a crocheted lace choker) I make a lot of jewelry and my distant family always gives jewelry for christmas so I have a ton.

Do you like the poetry of Emily Dickinson?

message 113: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Yes I've heard/read a few and liked them.

Do you like to sleep in if possible?

message 114: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Are you kidding? Yes, I sleep in when possible. When possible of course. If you had to fight either Shelob or a were-wolf under moonlight which would you fight?

THE CALLER. OH. MY GOODNESS. THE WORST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF FILMS. Have you ever been to an author's book signing?

message 119: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod

Ever have a stuffed bear or toy as a kid?

message 120: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments As a kid?? I still have a room stuffed full of them now :)

What's the best sports game you've ever been to?

message 121: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments A Richmond game where we won by kicking a mark after the siren. I guess seeing Cathy Freeman run live at the Olympics would've been a great memory...if I remembered it! The experience was wasted on my four year old self!

Did you go to a co-ed school?

message 122: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Yeah I was at a co-ed school. Still friends to many of the guys and girls in my class. Ran into two of them this week at uni.

Do you prefer writing things on paper or electronically (as in word files)?

message 123: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments Hm. When I write just casually and radome I like paper but when I know what I'm doing and have a plot outlined etc or if it's work then I will be typing it. I guess it's equal :-)

What is the last concert you went to?

message 124: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Ooooh that was years ago... Switchfoot was there that's all I remember. Unless you count the school performance of Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat I watched two years ago.

Do you quote from films and books in regular convos?

message 125: by The Pirate Ghost (new)

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) Yes, unfortunately for me, I'm old enough now that the person I'm talking to either doesn't get it, or gives me the blank "Oooo-k" stare and changes the subject very quickly. It's hard to remember that lots of the people I see weren't even born with Charlies Angels was a TV show.

If you could live in a story, a book, what book would you chose to live in? (and would you be the lead?)

message 126: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
I have oftentimes imagined what it would be like to live the adventures of the Hobbit or Where the Red Fern Grows. But the Middle-earth adventure I think would win out. And no, I would not be a lead, but rather one who somehow finds himself involved in the business of every one else.

What do you think about all the terrible predictions for 2012?

message 127: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments They actually are predicted to happen on my birthday :-P I really hope it doesn't happen, obviously, but i really haven't taken it seriously enough to look into it. Is there much science behid it?

Pepsi or Coke?

message 128: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments Coke

Daughtry or Lifehouse?

message 129: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments ?! I don't know either of them (bands? I'm slightly assuming? Maybe?)

DC or Marvel?

message 130: by Linda (last edited Mar 06, 2012 10:04PM) (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments (bands, and you should check out "Crawling back to you" by Daughtry! It is sooo good)

I'm not a true comic reader but... whichever does Batman? (does either do Batman?)

Rain or Snow?

message 131: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments Batman is DC, the only DC thing I really like :-P

Snow snow snow! I love skiing so much.

Did you watch the Academy Awards this year?

Do you read english texts for your education early or just before you need to?

@Linda - Lifehouse is very good.

message 134: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (triv_s) | 63 comments I usually read them at the beginning of the year, although I'm a bit behind for my lit books right now.

Did you do art as a subject?

message 135: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
I did years ago...wasn't really that good at the painting. Not bad at the sculpturing, drawing and carving side of things. I'm just not a painter.

Have you ever read half a book and then left it unfinished?

Well, there's always science behind these things. But mostly this one is based off of the predictions made by an ancient people named the Mayans. But, as our good friend and associate Jonathan will know quite well, this world still has a little over a thousand years to remain. The question is: Will something enormous happen?

Jonathan, I am on the verge of doing that right now. I am currently reading "Legacy" by Cayla Kluver (a goodreads author) and I do not know if I can get through it! It's like.... ordering an ice-cream flavor that you deem quite scrumptious, and then when it begins to hit the tastebuds you realize that it wasn't as you thought. At all.

Yes I've done that with a few books. Normally though I'll only get about two thirds in. Once I'm past halfway I go: might as well finish.

All I know about the Celts is that they have nice music and an interesting history. I've always been more interested in the history side but I don't know as much as I should when it comes to the Celts.

@Triv - the whole 2012 end of the world thing is based on the fact that the Mayans had a calendar that counted upwards till 2012. So various people assume it means an astrological event that could end the world. Some think it could be an asteroid, others a particular solar flare which would short out most of our technology and others come up with other opinions.

I think it could be some kind of event. But it won't be the end of the world kind of event. It could be something that causes a major panic but more likely could be nothing.

Have you seen many stage plays performed?

message 140: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
No, I haven't. I was almost in one though. I'm not a huge fan of such things, though they are quite alright in their place.

Have you ever looked fear, dread fear, straight in the face?

message 141: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Yes I have looked my fears in the face. And then I was like: can't turn back now and went on.

Have you ever been ridiculed for your beliefs? A sad thing to happen but sometimes too often it does...

message 142: by Julius, He Who Arises in Might (:D) (new)

Julius (bookseeker007) | 1781 comments Mod
Ridiculed... well, that might be stretching it. I have been disagreed with and thought a little odd, but not really ridiculed. 'Tis a sad thing indeed.

What is the worst event you have ever had the misfortune of being caught up in?

Probably knowing about a kind of messy breakup between two friends. Was not cool...

Favourite video game? (Feel free to answer none if you don't play them)

message 144: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments Oh I love video games! My favorite is either the original Donkey Kong (the one where he's evil and you play with Mario to try and save the princess) or a good racing game (car, watercraft, airplane, Etc.)

What's your favorite time of day?

message 145: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Evening. It's the calm part, the quiet part, the part just before everyone heads off to bed. When you can read or watch films. I like the calm quiet time. And I still count that as part of a day.

What are the three best book to film adaptations you've seen?

message 146: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments 1. The Birds
2. Gone with the wind
3. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Have you ever seen (or wanted to see) a Broadway musical, if so which one?

message 147: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
Yes, I wanted to see the Spiderman one but I was in Aus and it was in America. I've wanted to see others but same deal.

Do you tend to like YA fiction?

message 148: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments If it's not a romance or to shallow.

What's the one country you've never been too that you'd LOVE to visit?

message 149: by Jonathan , The Wise (new)

Jonathan Terrington (thewritestuff) | 457 comments Mod
England! I want to visit London one day.

What is your stance on hyped up books - avoid until the hype dies, read them and join the hype or generally do you read them before the hype?

message 150: by Linda (last edited Mar 29, 2012 09:01AM) (new)

Linda (lindacee) | 130 comments It just depends on if the book actually sounds good or not, I was glad when I hopped on the Harry Potter bandwagon but I regret every second I wasted reading Twilight (ugh!!) I actually just bought a book that's been fairly hyped and I really like it so far but I wouldn't have bought it if I wasn't literally desperate for something new to read (anyone who likes books about strong female characters and who wants something kinda creepy to read should really check it out Wither)

(by the way, I LOVED London when I was there, wish I could go back!)

Do you like to go to Poetry readings?
