Penny | 10 comments i've started reading clockwork angel, and although i've heard it's brilliant - i can't get into it. i'm only on the first chapter, but i hate how it's speaking for the people, instead of first person. should i keep reading??

I personally am not a fan of Cassandra Clare, but if the third-person narrative is the only reason you are not enjoying it, I suggest you keep reading. It may make it more difficult to get through, but the narrative shouldnt stop you from enjoying the story. I hated the present tense narrative in Hunger Games, but it didnt stop me from enjoying the book.

Third-person narratives are the most common, I dont know how you could do much reading if you considered quitting a book each time you came across third-person.

It's a shame, too! I was really looking forward to it and expecting to enjoy it just as much as I'd enjoyed the first. Not quite the case.

Jenna | 47 comments I just finished Rapture by Lauren Kate and I started reading Journeys by LR Pardee today. It is the sequel to Starcrossed by LR Pardee. This series is pretty good, though i don't like the concept of aliens. I think it's a little cheesy... but the romance in this series is great!
