Karen - I'm a pretty big PKD fan but I was never able to really get into Valis either. I like a great many of his works, especially his short stories, but this one just didn't grab me. So you're not alone! Even us PKD fans sometimes don't get it! ^_^

Hmm.. am I missing something here? What's the difference between these RA love/hate paragraphs and just copy/pasting some of our GR 5-star and 1-star reviews? Is there a specific thing about these that make them RA and not just a short version of a GR book review?

Well, lots of people don't write reviews, or don't follow the 'what I liked about it/ why I hated it' schema. GR book reviews are totally idiosyncratic. If you think you can answer the question in the original post by copying and pasting, I'm sure karen would be grateful, and the rest of us would be interested. Iirc, I didn't do much more than a copy/paste/quick edit, myself. :)
