Hello Sports Fans! This is your challenge leader, Trevor (or "Trev", or "that guy"), welcoming you to the March Madness Challenge!I don't know about you all, but I haven't read a lot of (if any at all!) sports books before. I'm trying to expand my horizons so I'm sticking mostly to the sports side of things. There are quite a few non-fiction sports books on my list, which I am looking forward to, and a mystery for Number 9: Choke Hold.
I'm going for the Gold Medalist: 10 books! I hope to read a book for each category. Check out my full list over at Trevor's corner.
What category do you want to fall under? What books are you most excited about reading?

Haha, thanks Trevor :)
Sharon wrote: "I'm in for 4? just depends on how "mad" I get in March since college basketball is my favorite!"haha. Got you added.
*** I've got everyone added up to this point.I'm very excited to read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (for number 1: Home Run), since I've heard such good things about it. I hope it gets here soon; the line at my library was really long! What books do you guys have lined up?
I am in! What a great idea! I have Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children on my holds list in the Kindle Library. I hope it comes available in time! I think I will at the very least hit Runner Up status. I will have to choose accordingly!
Andrea wrote: "I am in! What a great idea! I have Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children on my holds list in the Kindle Library. I hope it comes available in time! Going to start Catching Fire today in order to start Mockingjay in March. That will cover my "3Pointer". Oh! and have on hold "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Wouldn't that count as Marathon??? :0)
Andrea wrote: "Going to start Catching Fire today in order to start Mockingjay in March. That will cover my "3Pointer". Oh! and have on hold "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Wouldn't that count as Marathon??? ..."Definitely! I read The Hunger Games a while ago, but couldn't bring myself to read the rest of the series. I found the first one way too stressful. My brother keeps telling me to read the next 2 books. you'll have to tell me what you think of them!
I am 5 out of 12 on the waiting list. Can't believe you are 100!!! I started Catching Fire today and it is shaping up to be good! A friend told me she liked it more than the first. I will keep you posted about .

I'm actually reading it now. I didn't realize that counted. Perfect. My list:

Cool list, Adriana! I was thinking of reading Gym Candy as well. I have it as a back up in case I get bored of another book on my list - haha!

I know! But there are a lot of copies (not sure of the number exactly) so it shouldn't be too long before a while: maybe a few weeks.
Sharon wrote: "I'm in for 4? just depends on how "mad" I get in March since college basketball is my favorite!"Haha, I am a North Carolina Tar Heel fan. I feel you Sharon. That is why I chose to only read 2 for the month of March for this challenge. I feel basketball will be calling my name a lot over reading. I will have "March Madness Fever". :)

UNC all the way!
Anna wrote: "Thank you. I'm not a sports person...so I decided to something different."That's fine! I've got a few non-sports books on my list as well. It's good that we have some different options for us non-sports people. ;)
Andrea wrote: "Going to start Catching Fire today in order to start Mockingjay in March. That will cover my "3Pointer". Oh! and have on hold "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Lorelei wrote: "I'm in for Runner Up. Not sure what I'm reading yet, but I'll figure it out and post."Welcome to the challenge! :D I've got you added.
I just uploaded
. I am pretty sure it will fall under at least one category, but since I haven't read it yet... I am not sure which. :0)
Andrea wrote: "I just uploaded

You're added Brianna! Welcome to the challenge! And a very good list of books.
Brianna wrote: "I'm going to be reading some harder ones in between so I thought I would keep it somewhat light for the challenge itself. (:"Good plan! I have a feeling some of my more "mature" choices will give way to a few light and easy YA books throughout the month - haha.
I've signed up for runner up so my first book will beThe Waiting Time by Price for overcoming big odds, the football category. The 2nd will be 6 Rainier Drive by Macomber for Home in baseball category and I was hoping to have Hunger Games by for Golf "games" as a term in the sport. Trevor if you're not buying this I'll come up with something else. Just trying to be realistic :). I might be able to read Open House by Berg if you wanted me to. hmmmmm.

Nice picks Lorelei! I don't think that the Hunger Games would qualify for the golf category. However, if you'd like to use category 10 which is "a sport of your choice" to read it, that would be fine, since The Hunger Games themselves can be a sport. :)
