Nawnee...I would not mind the series going on if she would just determine once and for all who Rachel will be paired with. The back and forth on the romantic prospects is what drives me absolutely wonkie. I love Darynda for not doing that to us...she is a saint in my book! ;)

Cher | 126 comments agreed.I wonder what has happened to Pierce?I'm also curious as to why Trent still needs Rachel? He already got his sample

I just can't see Trent - the baby thing was cute, but he isn't just a bad boy, the whole rat-fight thing put me off and I've never completely forgiven him for the Were either."

No Chantal...Trent is definitely not just a bad boy is an Elf. He is the product of the Everafter, an Elven War...

Cher | 126 comments I know you've read the new one Mel.Going to give us any hints???? (hey, I can always try)hehe.I'm sick of the love interests as well but it's funny to me that we all read the same book and everyone has a different thought who Rachel should be.Myself, I want her with the naughty elf. I'm stick of the Ivy/Pierce thing.

I agree...just pick one already and let's stick with it but I would rather it not be Ivy. My favorite was Kisten and I still miss him...loved the scene in the club when Rachel got sugared.

I used to be very anti-Trent, but have to say that I've softened toward him a lot through the series.

Sometimes I like to read teasers that get posted, but I think Harrison releases a bit too much...really 5 chapters? I'm looking forward to reading the new book but I don't want to get that far into it and then have to wait for the rest. Not too much longer now anyway.

Not good news to hear when an ARC is sold online or in used book stores. ARCs are not the author's finished (polished)copy of their work. They usually have uncorrected errors. Reviewers who receive the ARC should NOT under any circumstances sell it. Authors/Publishers/Editors trust a reviewer to respect the work they are being granted an early copy of. Reviewers should understand that the ARC is an author's livelihood and should be treated with the utmost care. They may ask the reviewer never to give them away or to donate them. There are cases where the Reviewer will be given permission to give them away on their blogs. In most cases reviewers don't even quote from the books. When Darynda gave out ARCs of Third Grave Dead Ahead, the ending was different from the ending that actually ran in the final copy available to the public. Authors don't get paid for the ARC when it's sold. Help your favorite Authors and DO NOT PURCHASE ARCs!

On a different note, Goodreads sent out there New February Books newsletter and they have a different edition (picture of cover) for Third Grave Dead Ahead. I really like the other version b/c we see Charley's face. I believe it's the UK cover not sure. (Thought I'd share)

I one hundred percent agree which is why I still have my ARC copies I frequent a used book store and I have plenty of opportunity to turn then in I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I consider the ARC's to be like a gift from the author or publisher to you not to the whole world it makes the copy that you have special I just wish mine were from authors I would reread lol

Ok, so the US adds a splash of color and mystery, but the EU edition gives us a lovely head shot. I like both of them, my fave is the US cover, but I thought it great that they gave us a glimpse of Charley's face.

message 291: by Nawnee (new)

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments I like both but I'm partial to the us cover. funny story her first book cover almost made me not buy the book. I didn't like it, and after reading the book I'm still not a huge fan of the first books cover. I kept expecting those shoes to have a part in the book to make the cover make better sense. I can't say why the first books cover bothered me so much but when I lent the book out to a couple of friends they almost didn't take it because of the cover. I'm so glad I over looked that and bought the book based on the book description. This is one of the best series I've read in a long time.

message 292: by Chantal (new)

Chantal Halpin | 125 comments Also the Charley on the cover doesn't match the Charley in my head.

I agree with you on the first book cover too.

message 293: by Nawnee (new)

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments It's nice to know I'm not alone lol I felt like a traitor lol after liking her books so much. I'm just glad the description was written so well, or I would have missed out on a great series.
Did you expect the shoes to be in the story too?? I was the first thing my sister asked me before borrowing the book. Are those shoes in the story?? otherwise this cover is a little weird and off putting. :) by that time I had read the book so I just told her to ignore the cover the book is well worth the read.:)

message 294: by Chantal (new)

Chantal Halpin | 125 comments I read it because so many book buddies went on and on about Reyes! I looked at the shoes (didn't see the little death's heads as the pic was so small) and thought it looked a bit like a holiday romance type book.

Glad I listened to my buds :)

message 295: by Nawnee (new)

Nawnee (nawnees) | 132 comments I think it was all the white that got me the white pants and then the shoes I thought and this is the grim reaper wearing white pants come on no one should wear white pants lmao

Mel | 829 comments Dana...I always buy the actual book from the publisher. I have only purchased two ARCs. I know that does not make it right. They are something I treasure and will never give up. I also purchased the e-book and paperback copy of both books... It is my favorite series.

I've been looking for bugs comforters and can't find any with bugs, just bugs and daffy and bugs as a baby. If you know of a site or store that carries a bugs comforter holler!

message 300: by Mel (new)

Mel | 829 comments My favorite covers have the hot male bods but do not show the face clearly. This way I can picture the hero's face exactly as I imagine him in my fantasies and not as the cover artist sees him. I am not as concerned about the heroines. A hormonal change is possible...don't women crave it more as men begin to deteriorate? There is just something wrong about our biologies not sinking... Or are all great romance books I have been reading causing fluctuations? LOL:p
