I just transferred your thread to the Personal Challenges section Wonderkell...this is where we all post our challenges we want to keep track of:)

Good luck with it!

Shane Wow Kell! Big challenge, Best of luck. :) I could never dream of getting through 100 in a year.
Do people who take on these challenges steer clear of the big 1000+ page epic-saga style books ?

Oh no!
Pillars is my #1 fav book :) You gotta check it out.
It was my first book I'd ever read of it's size, 1100pages. Started out very daunting, but I got through it surprising fast - A real page turner.

On my near future reading list I've got a few books that are about 800-900pages, but their print is so small that they may as well be 1200-1300pages...lol. But they are books I really need to get too soon :(

Ooohh!! So scary;D

message 14: by Michael (new)

Michael (knowledgelost) I think the longest book I've ever read was 835 pages, so anything bigger than that is scary. My wife wants me to read her favourite books which is The Pillars of the Earth and Outlander but I will keep putting them off because of their size

Pillars is my fav also. Highly recommend it, well worth the reading time Knowledge.

Laura | 4299 comments good luck :D

message 17: by Wonderkell (new)

Wonderkell | 89 comments Ha Ha yes I think I'll definitely steer clear of the big ones of I can help it! I'm a pretty broad reader & sometimes have two or three on the go at once, but I honestly don't know how I'll do with this! Making it even trickier is that non-fic doesnt count toward your total. Thanks for all your well wishes!!

message 18: by Wonderkell (new)

Wonderkell | 89 comments Thanks Brenda for moving the thread to the right place too - you're a champ!

message 19: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 74017 comments Mod
No problem Wonderkell:) Why doesn't non-fiction count? It's still a book you're reading!

message 20: by Wonderkell (new)

Wonderkell | 89 comments I know! Seems wrong to me but that is the rule posted. Pity though, I have some great non-fiction on my to read list!

message 21: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 74017 comments Mod
Hmm!! I think you should adapt that rule;D

message 22: by Wonderkell (new)

Wonderkell | 89 comments Yes definitely should be adapted I think ;)
On all the recommendations above I checked out Pillars of the Earth. It looks fantastic & is absolutely going on my to read list, I will just have to wait until later in the year to see how I'm going with my numbers, to see if I'll have the time to read a big one. I'm looking forward to seeing how far I get!

Doing well, Kell....would you mind linking your titles when you post them, so we can check them out? It makes it easier for us to read the blurb, and possibly add them to our TBR list! Thanks Kell:)

message 27: by Wonderkell (new)

Wonderkell | 89 comments Ok Brenda no probs! I'll Try to remember!! I'll go back through the list & link them now. Great suggestion :)

Michael (knowledgelost) If you can provide all the details of the books that ain't on goodreads, we can add them.

You're doing really well:)

message 41: by Michael (new)

Michael (knowledgelost) We can still add it, it's probably just a kindle only release. I know Goodreads doesn't use amazon as a datasource anymore but we are still a reliable datasource and we can add them

Brenda | 74017 comments Mod
But when I rescue the book, I have to put the URL in, and the only one I can find is Amazon...they won't accept it!

message 43: by Lynxie (new)

Lynxie | 711 comments If you have a copy of the book (even an ebook version) you should be able to manually put in the details from that.

Yes, I know, but I'm trying to do it for Kell, so maybe she has a copy of it....

Kell, good idea of Lynxie's...click on the first link I put there, and click on 'rescue book', if you have a copy. Then follow what you have to do...if you don't have a copy, we'll work something out!

I'll need an ISBN or ASIN to do the other one too:)

message 45: by Lynxie (new)

Lynxie | 711 comments Keep it up Wonderkell! We'll hit the 100 mark this year both of us!!

Michael (knowledgelost) the ASIN for that book is B005YRKKJU
