Fine with me! :)Also, I was poking through the group shelf and saw that somebody added Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch today, so I'm going to make that my Free Space read. It works out perfectly -- at 760 pages it's a longer book, but since there's no time limit/rush for the Free Space yet, there's no pressure. And I have it on hand and can use it towards another challenge, too. :D
A free space book can be anything that's on the group bookshelf (there's over 1750 books), any of the group monthly reads (2012, 2011, 2010), or anything mentioned in the New Releases section (here). Here's the official post on the matter. :)
I"m from Indiana! We just got done watching the Super Bowl and it was awesome! IT'll be nice when all the party people clear out of town ;)
so I have till how long to finish the supernatural shelf book? i'm sorry, i hate reading rules sometimes! :-$
The sooner the better, but there's no time limit. However, we only get a stamp if all 5 of us finish our book for that shelf.
I'm going to read
for the supernatural shelf and I'm still deciding what to read for the Free Space...

count as the free space since it's on the SoS's main page?"I'm not sure if challenge books in general would work, but this one's on the group bookshelf, so it should. :)
Jeann wrote: "Ooh what is a free space read? Could we use one that we are halfwway through?"
Jeann, you can only use a book if you started it on or after 5 Feb, otherwise it isn't fair to everyone else.
Suzanne wrote: "Does

Oops sorry, didn't realise. I'll pick another one from the shelf.

I haven't tried Mercy Thompson yet, but I've heard SO many good things about it... and your review makes it sound like something I'd enjoy, particularly the slow-building romance and the alpha male not being a total jerk. I am now convinced to put the first book on my TBR list. :)
Noooooooooooooooooo!!!! (view spoiler) I think I'm having a crisis now. Why, oh Why did I read Midu's review?? Now I'm going to curl up in a corner and see if I want to continue the rest of the series. ::cry::
No Midu, I mean Vi is going for the wrong team, but the more she reads she'll see she needs to switch to the Other Side. Bhwaaaaa
Midu, it's ok. I knew there were spoilers but I went ahead and read.I just finished the 3rd book and I'm still digesting the book. But Sandra, you were right. Damn it. Man, Briggs twisted that book off. I'm going off for a walk now.
The more we're talking about the Mercy books, the more I'm trying to restrain myself from re-reading them. I'm already re-reading, PsyChangeling, IAD & Arcane Society series for challenges. I just can't do any more *sigh*, at least not just yet. hehehe
I never was a big fan of the Thompson series but this book angers me a lot but it also made me jump on the bandwagon. And that makes me weird.Sandra, perversely it makes me happy that you're feeling that :P I'm a good person ;)
So I can see
listed as supernatural here http://www.goodreads.com/work/shelves... Is this good enough?

This is the fourth book in Donna Grant's Dark Sword series and it seems to just get better book by book for me!
This is the story of Hayden and Isla. Hayden is an immortal highland warrior who shares his body with a god, he finds Isla in the freezing remains of an evil druids mountain and brings her home to be healed what he doesn't realise at the time is that she is drough which is the ones thing he hates more than anything as they killed his family.
Isla has been a slave to an evil druid named Deirdre for 500 years with her sister and niece being used as leverage against her so when she realises she is in MacLeod Castle with the immortal warriors she realises they must kill her before Dierdre commands her to kill them using their mind link.
It is wonderful to see Isla try to come to terms with kindness and friendship after being treated with cruelty for so long as she really blossems throughout the story. Hayden is so conflicted and it is a real battle for him to come to terms with his feelings.
This is a great book for romance lovers and paranormal lovers alike and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Midu: Sorry, which series were you talking about? The Nalini Singh or the Patricia Briggs. I like the Patricia Briggs one a lot! I'm still trying to get into Nalini Singh but she's alright. The first book did of Nalini's was ok, but I'm going to keep reading to see if I can get into them.
So done with

Hoping that Vi hasn't read this series :-p
This was my first book by this author and I can see she'll get better with her upcoming books. But this book wasn't it. Even though, it added a unique spin to the usual angel demon story, I still had some issues with it:
Frannie seemed like a sensible girl till she got involved in a love triangle.
The two alternating POVs made things interesting but Luc's side of the story didn't sound like it was being told by a guy.
The names- Luc, Gabriel and Hades High- did sound cheesy.
The attraction between Gabe and Frannie confused me. At times, it sounded like it was some angel mojo while at others, she really seemed to like him.
Frannie's parents' intuition was never explained and I hope it is touched in the next books.
