Schedule a Buddy Read

Well...if you don't find anyone...although I've read it, and wouldn't be ready to read it again so soon...I'd be happy to discuss it with you...I adored it! ...and I can always chat Darcy!!!

King Arthur is not an author. He is a legendary British king from I think around the 10th century, although he is based on a real person.

I'm shocked you've never heard of him! Arthurian mythology is like...the BEST! :D

Kelly,
We have LOTS of books in common (84% to be exact:) lol! If you click on my name and click "compare our books" you can see what we both have on our TBR lists, and if you wanna pick one, I'd be happy to read along with you sometime this summer! Just let me know what:) I'm not sure that it would be on my dusty challenge, but I'm happy to throw in a couple extra when I can!
Anyone willing to do a buddy read for The Book Thief or The Angel Experiment? Unfortunately, due to school, I'd have to put it off until summer.

I have read Skulggery Pleasant book 1, 3, 4, 6
I'm going to start reading book 2.
Anyone interested. They're awesome books. Check them out!

I absolutely love Poe, and was lucky enough to find a C..."

@Mortalcoil_99:
I think you should choose a sampling of several of Poe's works. If you find you are intrigued by say,The Raven, you will surely want more.
There are complete anthologies and smaller groupings bound in individual collections. They are easy to find.

I can't believe you hadn't heard of Poe! A couple years ago, my best friend bought me a necklace with one side showing a raven and the other side with a portrait of Poe himself. In fact, I'm wearing it now!
To get started, I'd suggest a couple poems, like The Raven, Annabel Lee, etc. As for short stories, I'd start with "The Tell Tale Heart" or "The Cask of Amontillado". Cask is my favorite of all Poe's stories. (:

Thanks. I am going to read it this summer, which isn't very far away.

I can wait til the end of June. NP. Somebody ought to start a thread for it around that time. To remind me. Har har.

Takers?

Takers?"
I'm game if everyone else is up to it...keep me posted...

You can tell the people in our group who want to read a book by going to "books" on the group home screen and typing in the name of the book that you want in the search box and clicking ok. Then, when the picture of the book appears the bottom option says "member reviews". That will show everyone in the group who has read, is reading, or wants to read a book. I spent about 20 minutes today and emailed the first 20 people who want to read Life of Pi to see if anyone would be interested. I will probably start tomorrow since it's my day off. I've already created a thread for it.
