In other news, I have completed one of the 25 point tasks of "read a book of more than 700 pages".

I can't find it on goodreads, but it's a French version of The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas.

It was actually really interesting to read it in Dumas' original tongue. There's a lot more sarcasm in the French than comes off in the English. It was good.

Dunno... I saw it about 5 years ago (I think...), dubbed in Italian unfortunately, which never helps - I really prefer subtitles.

I remember it being really stilted and awkward (very well might have been the italian dubbers) and with none of the joy of the book. The dialogues were so lame that we started laughing out loud.

Just finished Where the Red Fern Grows ... I had to skip my evening workout, because I didn't want to go to the gym with red-ringed eyes. It was VERY VERY good. I'm really glad I read it.

great, very intense, and i'm so glad the lecture was put in to book format. this should be required reading for all young adults, there are some awesome observations on living life fully, not just correctly.
