I know! I was looking to buy the print books of the series. Nope, I do believe I'll wait. That's insane!

I agree Duchess - even at $19.99 it is just too much. I will definitely wait but these are definitely books that I would like to have in hardcopy as well as epub.

Duchess Nicole | 154 comments For sure! Just the covers make me shiver! That's pretty sad, huh?

Not to me - just thinking Christian's name makes me shiver.....He aims to please and he has accomplished his goal. IMO.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 217 comments Do you guys think it will come down in price at some point? I normally buy ebooks but I noticed the price of the paperback when I was doing my research. I did a double take! lol

I also checked out the price of Lover Reborn (BDB series) and right now the ebook is $14.99. Eeek! I love the series so I may have to bite the bullet on that one.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 217 comments Duchess Nicole wrote: "For sure! Just the covers make me shiver! That's pretty sad, huh?"

LOL Not at all! I have the same reaction to the BDB covers. :D

message 58: by Duchess Nicole (new)

Duchess Nicole | 154 comments I'm sure it will. And I know it's not supporting the author, but usually these books are available at the chain used book stores (like Half Price Books) within a month or so of release. Honestly, the only book I've bought at full hardback price within the last year was Shadowfever. I go through books so quickly, I'd have no money left to buy food for my kids if I bought all that I wanted. Priorities suck!

Rachel the Book Harlot | 217 comments Yeah, there are very few books that I will spend that kind of money for. I just cannot justify (to myself) spending $29 for a paperback. o.O Even paying $14.99 is too much (I can only do that for Ward. lolol). I've been trying to utilize the library more or I'll wait for a sale.

Carolyn | 175 comments As you know I got a new "store" that I can get all the cheap books at now. So while I was looking the other day I noticed that the got a bunch of the Harlequin romance books all in there own little place. So I made all these different shelves to break them up in to their own group... This way when they have a good sale I can just print off the list and start picking them up. I think they are a quick cute read in general. I started on the Harlequin but have not read one in a long time.
Does anyone read these?

I read the Harlequin, Carolyn. Particularly Harlequin Presents. Love them!

I read Harlequins, especially when I have less time on my hands or too short an attention span to read a longer book. I usually just read Presents and Superromances. If you're looking for recommendations, I heartily recommend Sarah Mayberry.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 217 comments Does it ever happen to you guys where you'll read a book (or series) that you love and then you cannot move on to something else? I just finished Son of the Morning by Linda Howard and I loved it so much that I'm almost tempted to reread it. lol This also happened to me with the BDB and NH - I simply could not move on. Shoot, I still read certain BDB books repeatedly. :)

I just finished a series of 4 books in 5 days. I feel like I need to decompress & clear my head before moving on to something new.

This store that I keep mentionng has a whole section and they are all just lined up by the serires title but are all the Harleqin ones. I was like "WHOOO" I could get a bunch of these the next good sale and of read a majority of the series."
I think that I may focus on them once I am finished with the ..uuhhh... I'tt have to get back to you on the number of books I have... they seem to be multiplying... like rabbits....lol

You hit the nail on the head.. They are a quick read and I love them cause well they are cute and quick. So glad I finally found a place where people understand me :)
I will take the recommendation but I am adding a bunch to my shelves but will look her up :D

I think that I can safely say that most all of us have done a marathon reading. I just did it with the Kim Harrison Hollows series.

Back from my cruise today! We had a great time, but I'm glad to be home. I'm sitting here, and it still seems like I can feel the boat rocking. Super ready for that feeling to stop lol!

I'm watching Man on Fire. I love this movie. I think Creasy is a very intriguing character. Something about him just draws me in. I like to read book characters like him, but for them to get a happier ending.

One of the reasons I really loved Night Rescuer (H.O.T. Watch #3) by Cindy Dees was because John was emotionally/spiritually wounded in a way like Creasy.

CaroleDee Lady Danielle aka The Book Huntress wrote: "Happy Friday everyone! Any plans for the weekend? "

A friend is having a get-together at her house on Saturday. I plan to drink copious amounts of German wine, gossip about people, push various books on my non-reading friends, and stumble home around 1 a.m.

Then I'll wake up on Sunday afternoon with a raging headache and wonder why people tagged me in horrible pictures on Facebook.
Why do people do that? If I look like doodoo please don't show it to the world. LOL

I'll have out of town visitors this weekend, they arrive this morning and are leaving Sunday morning. We'll play it by ear.
