Nope. One makes graham balls from crushed graham crackers mixed with whipping cream & condensed milk. Others mix other stuff like peanut butter. You can search the recipe online. It's really yummy. :)

That's my husband, he can do without sweets but not bread. Whereas I can't do without either. I'm from a family of pleasantly plump women so I have to really watch how much of it I eat. I'm so bad that if I know I'll be eating dessert no matter what, I'll skip the meal and just eat the dessert. I do that sometimes on Thanksgiving, eat the pie first and then make room for everything else, which I usually will eat small portions after I've filled up on pie. I tell my daughters to eat what I say not what I eat. Lots of eye rolls. Whatever works!

I borrowed this from another group because I thought it's a fun way to learn about our members allowing them to answer or not answer any questions. I zone out too, that's why I always carry a book so I have something to stare at. I was thinking that people who commute and listen to audiobooks do that staring thing without realizing it either.

message 170: by Angana (new)

Angana (Tuaa) | 99 comments Emily - it is a lovely book undoubtedly and absolutely hilarious. I was cleaning my dad's bookshelf and found it last month and pounced upon it. The title itself was sort of beckoning me, 'Come read me, I am fun!' And yes, I have read that part. The book is fun right from the beginning.

Carolyn - I only zone out when people around me start gossiping about very 'interesting' things generally about others and fuss over obscure details in lives of people I have never heard of and gasp 'Oh my God!' at regular intervals. If I am sitting with them it would be rude to take out a book, or yawn, or walk away (they know me too well to gauge my reactions) so I zone out.

Sorry for this immensely late reply. Was not quite well. That would be a good idea, once in a while. But I still continue to zone out, and my friends continue to slap me at regular intervals! :P my attention lasts about as long as the food on the table...and if they, for a change discuss books and/or movies.

C is my daughter's least favorite chore. She gets to the point where she'll say, "I've done dishes at least 4 times today!" and then it'll be 6 and more. I joked with her standing there to her dad and said, "I'll do the dishes right now because Julia had to do them 12 times yesterday." I get a filthy look with a Billie Idol lip curl.

I had this lemon cheesecake last week with a graham cracker crust - so yummy! I swear this is a good way to eat less, I only ate half the sandwich but if I had the sandwich first, I would have ate all the sandwich and ALL the cheesecake because being full doesn't apply to deserts (as everyone knows or should know).
