When do you write your reviews?

My opinions form as I read the book and when I get to the end. I like to write the review after i read the book so it is fresh in my mind. Sometimes, I won't write one either for time restraints or I didn't have an opinion about it.
I usually finish a book at night, so I write in the morning. Which is what I'm going to go do in a few minutes.
Ideally, I like to wait a couple of days after I've read a book, so that I can fully digest it. However, time constraints of normal life usually dictate. I almost never write a review immediately after finishing the book.
I usually write my reviews as soon as I finish. I am often reading several books at once, and when I finish a book I will start something else, so I like to write my reviews as soon as I am done (or the next morning if I finish a book late at night) while the story is still fresh in my mind. I like my review to reflect what I thought of the book right when I finished it.
I try to write once I'm finished reading while everything is fresh in my mind. But some books, I have to walk away from and gather my thoughts.

I usually write my reviews after I finish reading the book because, as some of you have mentioned, the details are still fresh in my mind. I've managed to write a few a while after I had read it (no book comes to mind at the moment though), but I try to write it early after finishing.
I write reviews whenever I finish a book these days. I also post them on my blog. Links on my profile if anyone is interested in reading my amateur reviews. :D
This is a really interesting discussion. It's cool how everyone has different review routines. For me, I always sit down right after finishing a book and I write out my thoughts in a notebook. I like to write a review right away before I read anything else so that my thoughts don't become muddled with the next book I start. And writing them out makes it easier for me to form a cohesive review.
Depends on what time of the day I finish it. I try to write a review as soon as I possibly can.I find if I wait too long I started to forget various things about the book (most likely cause I've started something new) so I liked to write a review as soon as possible.
I may wait if a book really took me by suprize and I'm not entirely sure how to gather my thoughts right away.
I write a review usually within a day of finishing the book while the experience is fresh in my mind. I'm forming an opinion as I read the book. Every now and then I go back and revise the review if I want to say something differently or add more comments after I think about it.
Before I joined Goodreads I used to track all my reading through my Amazon reviews, now I’m a bit behind but still going at them. Sometimes when I’m really feeling creative and in the mood to review I write the review the same say or the next day after I finish and at other times they go on a back burner. I keep a small notebook with me when I read at home and jot down main points and ideas that help later, I have two reviews pending for this year and about thirty leftover from 2011 so I have a bit of work ahead of me but it’s a pleasurable torment :) I’ve been reviewing since 1999 and slowly the need to do it right away is weaning off but not to the point where I won’t review a book, I pretty much review everything I read even if it’s brief, it’s like a diary of what I read and when, reminds me of certain points in my life and what I was doing when I read the book.

So, then, is it bad to write a review months after you have read a book? Does anyone do this?I sort of wanted to write a review for every book that I read in 2011, but I fell behind sometime in October when work got really busy.

Do you do the same thing or is it better for you to do it immediately?
