I want to try and find this book again. The story goes like this: A blind girl finds hoof prints in the garden. She later finds a unicorn. When she rides on his back she can see. He takes her to a far away land. On the way they encounter dark unicorns who have lost their horns and become mad and dangerous. There is a bit where they have to ford a river. She makes friends with a boy called Sloe. There is also a girl called Flight who was meant to be the next unicorn rider, but has darkness in her. The girl remembers a shadow version of herself she saw in the mirror before she went completely blind, she called her Shadow or Midnight or something like that.

I think this is it!!! thank you so much Katie! I have been remembering how much I loved it and wanting to know what it was! Funny I remembered a few names but forgot the main character had the same name as me! I will have to try and get hold of a copy of this now!
