Stuart Ayris - The Truth About Trees
Half way through the first rewrite then I'll read it all through aloud to myself so it sounds like I want it to sound and then it's all yours!
Just done a Blog Post with the chapter titles for I Woke Up This Morning... http://tollesburytimeforever.blogspot...
How very 'Stu' they are! Makes you want too read them (which I assume is the point). I feel chapter titles are important. I always appreciate good ones.
Thank you! I like them too. I think they give a flavour of what to expect as each chapter title is a line or phrase from that particular chapter. On chapter 5 of the read aloud rewrite so going well!
Well - final edit done and there are still 78 words that Microsoft Word continues to disregard. Or should I say disregardelise?http://tollesburytimeforever.blogspot...
Some of the words are beautiful, some are funny and some are plain old loopy but I love them all! Well done that man!

Hi!I have a new blog: www.stuartayrisblog.org where I will have a combination of book reviews and musings.
I also have a new website: www.stuartayris.co.uk with information about my books (including sales totals!)
Both are somewhat in their infancy but your patronage would be most welcome!
Cheers!

Thank you! Let's hope so! Almost up to 7,000 words in The Buddhas of Borneo so gradually getting there.
I've just written a blog post about the concept of forgiveness - http://stuartayrisblog.org/2013/06/15...
Wonderful post, Stu.I'll be searching out that music when I have a chance. Sounds like something I'll really enjoy.
I really wish you could come to the get together. I'd love to share a quiet pint with you.
Cheers mate! Me too! Although my pints tend to start off quiet then move through dancing, singing and finally to changing the world!
Just received this review for I Woke Up This Morning (FRUGALITY: Book 3):5.0 out of 5 stars
A stunning end to the trilogy

I keep 5-star reviews for books that I find truly exceptional. I'm giving this one 5 and, if I could, I'd give it 10.
The writing style has developed through the trilogy into an extraordinary, free-flowing pouring forth of prose that is frequently poetic. At times I was reminded of Under Milk Wood and Ulysses, but comparisons can't do it justice. It is unique - not so much a book, more a volcanic eruption of words, ideas and fears with the author as the central character.
What makes it so powerful is not just the content, but the fact that it is based on reality. The appalling event that is central to the story actually happened.
Through the three books the author has given us hints: little baited hooks to capture us and draw us on. At last we get to that crucial event that explains what lies behind. It is so vividly described that merely reading it is a gut-wrenching, soul-twisting experience.
Of course, this is faction and we don't know which parts of the rest of the trilogy are based on reality, but it is more than enough to know the truth of that key event. I hope that the experience of writing the books has been sufficiently cathartic to allow the author to come to terms with his past and live with peace of mind.

It finally has the perfect cover!"
Totally agree, the new cover is perfect! It gives a glimpse of the book in a beautiful and concise way.
How did she design it?Did you tell her what you thought you'd like it to look like or did she just run with it?
I'm intrigued by the process.
Oh. We won't be hearing back from Stu for a while. Lucky thing is at the Springsteen concert.I'm shocked he didn't offer to get me tickets. ;)
Just back from Bruce. Lost for words still! The cover is beautiful isn't it? All I can say is that Katie is both clever and wonderful!
Just seen the new cover on Amazon. I LOVE it! The depth to the cover and the writing on the walls...just perfect!
