Just updated the wordcount on my website for I Woke Up This Morning - updating it every day (sometimes several times a day!) on the way to the 75,000 word mark! http://www.stuartayris.co.uk/
Well I'm now over 16,000 words into the final book of the FRUGALITY Trilogy - I Woke Up This Morning. Hope to have it finished be April 2013. Going well so far!!
Cheers fine people! Yep Emma - just spent a couple of hours in my favourite corner reading The Town and the City. I do believe a descent into madness is on the rise. It's all good. x
Just to confirm that I have repriced my novels as follows:Tollesbury Time Forever - £0.77p
The Bird That Nobody Sees - £0.77p
A Cleansing of Souls - £0.77p
I've got a thousand little postcards being delivered around the unsuspecting Tollesbury folk on 13th December so who knows what the future holds???
Tollesbury Time Forever and The Bird That Nobody Sees are both also available in paperback for £5.99!
Cheers!!
An interview here on Vic Watson's site where she asks me how my 2012 has been....http://elementaryvwatson.wordpress.co...
The second book of the FRUGALITY Trilogy (Tollesbury Time Forever being the first) is available in eBook and Paperback format. It's called The Bird That Nobody Sees. I am almost a third of the way through writing the final book in the trilogy (I Woke Up This Morning) and have just set up a Goodreads Giveaway for the paperback version of The Bird That Nobody Sees. Here's the link! http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sho...
I still can't that 'Thyme' poem out of my head, Stuart. It's ridiculous how long and how well it's stayed with me!!
Here's a little snippet from I Woke Up This Morning: FRUGALITY Book 3And the midday sun fair glowed, and oranged up the blues and greened up the yellows, leaving every other hue entirely up to me and you on an untainted day for the few that can breathe in and accept such excesses. Breathe it in fine people and close your eyes to truly view the majesty of what is nothing but the most pure and lovingest wonder. It’s about us always. But in Tollesbury, by the marshes, it’s just a little more evident. So let the sparkles sparkle and the spangles spangle. Don’t question the splash for even a moment – that’s just an angel dipping his toes in the stark raving ecstasy of all this wondabulous beauty.
Well the first 10 chapters of I Woke Up This Morning: FRUGALITY Book 3 are now complete. 20 more to go and I'm done...Here's another little snippet:
"Never forget the Krang and the screech ang belap and the denaaar. Let them always ring. For as long as your heart beats, you have the essence of rock and roll within you. God didn’t give you rock and roll. And The Beatles were never bigger than Jesus. For there is no Jesus and there is no God. But there will always be fully grown men with long hair and make-up who will do whatever they can to rock you to your shudder boom boots."
Almost 30,000 words into the final part of the FRUGALITY Trilogy. Tollesbury Time Forever is still doing great, The Bird That Nobody Sees is still waiting there to suprise you all and I Woke Up This Morning will be out in June. Oh yes! Bring on the madness!
Hi Stuart, I enjoyed Tollesbury Time Forever and reviewed it here at Goodreads today. Sounds like its been selling pretty well, which is great news, congratulations.
Thank you so much Guy! The second part of the trilogy - The Bird That Nobody Sees - is doing ok too. Selling less but well received! Cheers so much for your support. I really appreciate it!Stu
With
doing great and
gradually getting there, I hope to have the third and final book in the FRUGALITY Trilogy - I Woke Up This Morning - ready for release in June 2013. I'm more than 30,000 words into the first draft and all is going to plan in a very pleasing (if slightly mad!) way!
I'm reading The Bird That Nobody Sees, just wanted to let you know, and to tell you that I love it so far. I also love the references to Tollesbury Time Forever :o)
Ah thank you!!! Really kind of you to say. Just over halfway through writing the final book in the trilogy so your kind words are just what I need to help me to keep on keeping on! Cheers Jud!
Yay!Keep writing! I was even reading it in the office when everyone behind me was out for lunch :o) Should finish it when I take my official lunch break.
Hello! Just a quick update!I have been busy on the final book in the FRUGALITY Trilogy. It's called I Woke Up This Morning. I'm 45,000 words in with about another 30,000 left to write. Should have it written by June and perfectly imperfected a couple of months after that.
I have set a release date of 12th August 2013!
Plenty! Going on a little road trip for two weeks in June - will write a chronicle of that. Planning stages also for a book called Basel, Borneo and Basildon!
So, 78% done now I've decided to begin work on the blurb for the final FRUGALITY book..."When Stuart Ayris, failed psychiatric nurse and resident drunk is barred from The King’s Head at last, there is only one thing on his mind. He must go in search of his hero, Simon Anthony. But It doesn’t take long for things to unravel.
In a journey that takes him from Tollesbury to the West Country and finally up to the home of The Beatles, Stuart finally has to confront what is real and what is not real. He is joined part of the way by the regulars from The Setting Sun and even William Shakespeare tries to lend a hand. But in the end, there is one question only Stuart can answer…
Who is Simon Anthony really?
Nothing is what it seems.
Nothing is ever what it seems.
Perhaps there is something to get hung about after all..."
For any who are interested, I've almost finished the first draft of the final book in the FRUGALITY Trilogy - Tollesbury Time Forever being the first book and The Bird That Nobody Sees being the second. Just thought I'd post the prologue to the final book - I Woke Up This Morning - on my blog... http://tollesburytimeforever.blogspot...
Cheers! Going through the process of editing at the moment - up to chapter 7. Hoping it will all be done within the next few weeks!
First edit complete for I Woke Up This Morning - this entails making sure it all makes some kind of sense. Thankfully it only just does. The next edit comprises adding in paragraphs here and there to ensure the pace is right. The final edit is a spellcheck which generally involves me adding words to Microsoft Word's unimaginative dictionary...
If they had trouble with the other books they may disintegrate when I Woke Up This Morning comes out!
