I was told about GR by some friends on FB. So I came to have a look and stayed.I've been introduced to some brilliant books and authors. I've even had a few good reviews of my own work. It's a great site I love it.

I also feel that the reviews seem more honest and thorough here than on other sites, and this has been invaluable when I'm deciding on what to buy/read next.

I then discovered the recommendation section and spent a fortune as a result, BUT, I didn't have any duplicates.
Since then, I've been lucky enough to have had a book or two published and I get a real kick out of seeing people listing them.
Having said that, I am still adding the books I read, can't be a writer without being a reader imo.

Dislike reading!!!!???
Hold me up, I'm going to faint.
Poor, poor you, I feel your pain.

Natalie I hope you enjoy the site. I love it! The challenges, the reviews and the recommendations all mean I read more than ever have. I'm so pleased I found the UK book group, best one on here I think!

I really do like it here (already set up my Author's page Sarah Jane Avory) although I'm still having a hard time rearing myself away from my writing so I can get more involved with discussions here.
Well yesterday I published my 2nd book, Bond Of Terror, so now I've got more spare time. I'm planning on getting to know more people here.

I have learned a lot from the author groups but more importantly from the reader groups about what readers want and therefore where I might be going wrong. I have found it difficult to write quite as much as I did before I joined, but maybe I am being more careful- or just lazy!
