I live in Lombardy, so we are in lockdown - the area around Milan is so densely populated that this epidemic is spreading like wildfire.
As I wrote, social distancing is really important now. My sons are following lessons via computer and my husband is smartworking. We are among the lucky ones because we have a quite large garden - otherwise, to stay inside your apartment for weeks can really be a source of stress. For me it would be, at least.
We read about this TP folly and it would be fun if it wouldn't be a demonstration of sheer panic.

Thanks buddy!
Companies are making so much information so accessible now, I don’t know where to start! But I guess I have a few weeks to figure it out :P

Whoops. Missed this. Sorry, Michaela. Is a month later too late to reply? :)
Not too many historical novels in my Goodreads Challenge list so far this year. Have been breaking up the HF with some crime and some literary this year.

Stay healthy everyone!

Soccer in Australia too. Football to us could be Soccer, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Australian Rules Football. :) It can be confusing when some says football depending where you are in the country.
We now have some of our major sporting codes postponing seasons, but I'd say it will turn to indefinitely, seeing as the pandemic is only just starting.
We have one football code, Rugby League (NRL) who aren't though. Those idiots, spurred on by that fruitbat Russell Crowe, are floating the idea of holding the season in a remote location! As in, all the teams living in a small, rural town in my State and playing the entire season there. Ridiculous.

So glad you and the family are well and safe, Simona. What a relief. I hear Lombardy is the hardest hit. So glad you locked yourself away in time.
Do you have and vegetables and fruit growing in your garden?

Hi Terri, thank you. No, I don't grow vegetables since I usually don't have the time to take care of a veg garden...I have several fruit trees but they didn't ever bloom yet. But, luckily, there aren't shortages of food in Italy.

Glad to hear yer safe & well :)
I was shocked to see the AFL go ahead this weekend, I think too many folk/businesses/organisations are in denial or even worse jus looking out for no.1 in terms of £/$

Its for the best fellah, every company has really got to do it now & then hopefully it'll only be for a shorter period, hope yer wages get covered by a grant

That’s what I am waiting to find out.

As I said to Andy we are all in a kind of limbo, our ceo and our trustees have spent all day looking into the governments offers so we have to wait.

Original series: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2628232/
New Series: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10361016/ Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. This one stars Natalie Dormer who I can't stand, so that's a pity, but I am still looking forward to it.

It's good to hear from Simona and Andy and that they are doing OK - Stay safe all!!!t

Not at all excited :(
Thought it looked dreadful (ha! No pun intended).
But maybe that’s because I loved the first so much...or Josh Hartnett...

I do recollect you mention Josh Harnett... Ohhh once or twice ;)

Not too sure I'll be following this one, if you recollect I did say I thought it ended at the right time giving a proper conclusion to a grand series unlike many popular/cult ones that have a tendency to overrun & loose their way. I think i'll bank the first one & remember the memories :)

Hahaha!
That because he was soooooooo good in it!!!

I'm going into the new Penny Dreadful with the outlook that it is a high budget, high quality supernatural type witchy-woo show. supernatural etc mixing it with the humans. That's what I was more excited for, not so much hoping for a continuation of the original.
I like the vibe of the original. It always felt like a movie. I'm crossing my fingers for this to be like a movie too.

Agreed! Think of the days of the 1918 flu pandemic without our medical advances and what we learned from the course of that disease. I certainly hope we will lick this epidemic in a matter of much less than 10 months: the length of the "Spanish" flu!
Stay well and safe, everyone!

That's really lovely, Mark. Thank you for sharing that.

Your very welcome.

Yes, it's amazing. Neither my wife nor I would be alive today if it weren't for contemporary medical technology. My wife had breast cancer a few years ago; it was successfully treated, whereas not so long ago she would certainly have succumbed by now. And I have something called a "break" (there's more to the label but I can never remember what it is) in the wiring of my heart that would certainly have laid me low by now if it weren't for the pacemaker that fixed things pretty much instantaneously. Life is always a cause for gratitude, and even more so now.

Very hard to focus and be productive all day, especially with Grishnakh wanting so much attention...
