Welcome guys!!!!!!!! One thing I wanted to do was a review corner. Fangs only!!! Lol. 1 review a month, watcha think. Rating being 1 - 5 Fangs. ;-)

I think that's a great idea. I love that you've introduced the idea of European vs. American authors take on vampires. Can't wait to start on them.

Thanks...I just know that I'm one of those people with so many favorite series and authors that I sometimes lose track. Thought this might be helpful.
And a shout out hello to Angela :)
Can't take all the credit on the European vs American idea. One of the memebers suggested it and I LOVED the idea too.

Im okay with it......are we just picking our own or is it a collaborative amoungst us all?
Did i miss the american versus european bit?
U sure didn't!
Hmmm......good question! For now, let's just pick one of our own. Maybe next month a collaborative?

OK... I could do a review. When and where?

We will start fresh and see if we cant spark new feedback from others! I also put our 2011 read shelves in archives.....so if you need to check back into your reads you can!

The only series of those I read is Darker after Midnight. I'm still on number 7 in Morganville Vampires...and I hate to admit, I haven't read any Immortals after Dark.
I am just finishing "Uprising" which Tiff recommended and am loving it.

I also plan on reading Midnight Reckoning

Hey Rayna..I just tried to message you but its not accepting. Thanks for setting up the Reviews folder...they look great. Now I hope I don't offend you but my English teacher instincts are tingling and I have to ask if you could make one correction..."recommendations" is spelled wrong; its one c and two m's. Please, please , please, don't be offended by my OCD. If I could I would have just edited it myself and never said anything.

all fixed and you can rest at last!!!

Thanks...I went back to check the line and you already changed it...unless I'm going crazy and it was never incorrect...hmmmmm?!

Thanks for havin' my back Rayna. OMG, I just finished some steamy love makin' in Distraction;)

FOr nest month i thing we should do Amanda J Greene's book its comming out end of Feb....its the second in a series and the first was Fab......my thoughts anyway!

I would first like to say thank you to Tiff for making me a mod. I'm new to this so not exactly sure as to how it works, but I will try my best. As far as book reviews go, besides 13 Bullets and Uprising, I will be reading some of the classic vampire novels soon. For Instance; Carmilla, The Vampyre, and I am Legend. I suppose I will review those as well.
As far as topics go here are my ideas.
1.)Vampire Movies-since Vampire TV shows was so much fun, I thought it would be a good idea for us to talk about vampire movies. After all, there are hundreds of them.
2.) Vampire Mythology- A discussion of vampire folklore and where all the myths about vamps in our favorite stories come from. this of course would require the members to pick up certain books and do some research
3.) Who's your favoirite Vampire and why?
...those are just a few of my ideas. Anyway, thanks again for making me a mod.

U r welcome!!! Now start setting up those topics, they all sound great!!! ;-)
Also, don't forget to set up ur 100 books for 2012 fangs required. U might like the group-mod book we're reviewing now. While it does have romance and some very erotic scenes, it also has a great story, plot, violence, good vampires, malcontent vampires trying to take over the world, another great take on vamps. The first book in the series is this........
..........He watches her from across the crowded dance club, a sensual black-haired stranger who stirs Gabrielle Maxwell’s deepest fantasies. But nothing about this night—or this man—is what it seems. For when Gabrielle witnesses a murder outside the club, reality shifts into something dark and deadly. In that shattering instant she is thrust into a realm she never knew existed—a realm where vampires stalk the shadows and a blood war is set to ignite.
Lucan Thorne despises the violence carried out by his lawless brethren. A vampire himself, Lucan is a Breed warrior, sworn to protect his kind—and the unwitting humans existing alongside them—from the mounting threat of the Rogues. Lucan cannot risk binding himself to a mortal woman, but when Gabrielle is targeted by his enemies, he has no choice but to bring her into the dark underworld he commands.
Here, in the arms of the Breed’s formidable leader, Gabrielle will confront an extraordinary destiny of danger, seduction, and the darkest pleasures of all. . . .
We're reading the latest now.......
.....In the dark of night, a blood war escalates within the hidden world of the Breed. After existing in secret for many long centuries, maintaining a fragile peace with the humans who walk beside them unaware, a single act of retaliation has put the entire vampire nation at risk of discovery. It falls to the Order—a cadre of Breed warriors pledged to protect their own and humankind alike—to stop Dragos, the power-mad vampire at the center of the conflict, before his push for domination can explode into catastrophe.
At the center of the Order’s quest is Sterling Chase, once a morally rigid enforcer of Breed law, now a warrior fallen from grace, whose biggest battle is the one he wages against his own savage nature. With addiction beckoning him toward eternal darkness, Chase’s path to redemption has never seemed more out of reach. But when his eyes meet those of Tavia Fairchild, a beautiful witness who identifies him at the scene of a mission gone terribly wrong, Chase finds himself drawn to the woman—and convinced she is something much more than she seems.
Pulled into a vortex of intrigue and danger she can neither resist nor understand, Tavia is uncertain whom to trust. And while everything sane and logical warns her against getting close to Chase, she cannot deny that the handsome, deeply haunted male stirs something primal and ravenous within her. But even as she surrenders to her cravings, nothing can prepare her for the shattering truth of who—and what—she truly is.
As the Order’s enemy mobilizes for the battle of the ages, Dragos and his Minions unleashing a hell on Earth like nothing ever seen before, Chase and Tavia are thrust into the heart of the violence. With time running out and the streets running red with the blood of innocent lives, both Breed and human, together Chase and Tavia must find a way to defeat Dragos once and for all—or die trying.
And no, its not just from the woman's perspective but from the man's as well.

Thanks, Rj. Yeah, I'll probably need a little bit of help with this. I like your suggestion on the favorite Vamp idea..."Wihthin a series setting up polls if possible and bracket voting". What do you mean by that though?

Even though I have never read any of the books that Rj has listed, I think a poll would be a good idea. My original idea was to name just any vampire and why you like them, whether it's Dracula, Lestat, Edward Cullen, Jean-Claude or any of the characters from the books you guys like. I don't know how to set up a poll either, lol.
