btw......rjsmommy, great idea about the new releases!this will be your folder to keep updated monthly and share with the others! way to go!

I love that you've introduced the idea of European vs. American authors take on vampires. Can't wait to start on them.

Thanks...I just know that I'm one of those people with so many favorite series and authors that I sometimes lose track. Thought this might be helpful.

OK... I could do a review. When and where?
we will start a new folder called MOD reviews and then each of us will have a folder. At the beginning tell people which one your reviewing and then post your review in a later feed after your finished! I set up the folder and then sky's the limit! well for this month anyway, then in Feb we will make the book a group decision.....maybe a new vamp release in the month its released.....we will go off of rjsmommy's release folder! How does that sound?
okay just so you know i did a clean up of folders.....did some moving around of feeds.....put anything that was older than sept 2011 in deleted topics......you may want to start new feeds on some of our ongoing series as they come out for release....i was tired of seeing discussions that havent been touched since 2010!We will start fresh and see if we cant spark new feedback from others! I also put our 2011 read shelves in archives.....so if you need to check back into your reads you can!

I am just finishing "Uprising" which Tiff recommended and am loving it.
I also plan on reading Midnight Reckoning
which is the second in the Dark Dynasties series

ive just read the scene.....when the kids go to bed ill hop on line!
OK...Last baby shower guest left an hour ago...place is clean...and just took my last antibiotic for my bronchitis. I think I might have just gotten my life back. So now all I need to do is catch up with what's going on here; finish reading the book I started a week ago; read the latest Midnight Breed that I've been sitting on...oh yeah, and still grade those 130 miserable 6th grade essays! But at least the majority of that list is actually enjoyable :)

Well, do we want to do a continuing series new release like Darker after Midnight (Midnight Breed) or a stand-alone or a new series or even an older, less known (established) first book in a series? I'm up for anything. I did just start Darker After Midnight (but that's already one of books listed as a site "Books to Read"?
im okay with which ever you guys pick.....i do have quite a few on my plate right now so let me know soon so i can read it! FOr nest month i thing we should do Amanda J Greene's book its comming out end of Feb....its the second in a series and the first was Fab......my thoughts anyway!

Yeah..if I really want to read something I just go right through. I had put it off for the week when I was sick and planning the shower but as soon as that was done and I finished the other book...i was speeding through. I thought this was going to be the last but Lara added a note at the end stating there will be continuing adventures so I'm happy :)
Okay.....i havent read hunters book yet (i know im so behind its not even funny)....do i need to read it first or will i be okay to skip and go back?
So much of Chase's book is set-up in HUnter's book. You could probably get through and understand what happened but it would be so much more emotionally charged by reading in proper order. And Hunter's book was sooo good. I never cared for him at all but after reading it...he's one of my favorites.
well i guess im going to have to bite the bullet and read both! Man where do i find the time! Off to the bookstore tom to get them both!

As far as topics go here are my ideas.
1.)Vampire Movies-since Vampire TV shows was so much fun, I thought it would be a good idea for us to talk about vampire movies. After all, there are hundreds of them.
2.) Vampire Mythology- A discussion of vampire folklore and where all the myths about vamps in our favorite stories come from. this of course would require the members to pick up certain books and do some research
3.) Who's your favoirite Vampire and why?
...those are just a few of my ideas. Anyway, thanks again for making me a mod.

Also, don't forget to set up ur 100 books for 2012 fangs required. U might like the group-mod book we're reviewing now. While it does have romance and some very erotic scenes, it also has a great story, plot, violence, good vampires, malcontent vampires trying to take over the world, another great take on vamps. Hey Dan...Welcome aboard! I'm also new to moderating but Tiff and Rayna are experts and really helpful. It will be great having a male presence in the group (Not too much pressure there...). Looking forward to your ideas. I like the idea of favorite vamp...I was thinking maybe within series setting up polls with comments if possible or bracket voting.

Well there are lots of series that we all follow..Black Dagger, Dark Hunter, Midnight Breed, etc with multiple vamps...so we could make our way through the series ( maybe one per week or month)and then have ultimate showdown in a bracket vote like they do in sports competition (at the end of the year). I'm pretty sure there's a poll app here and I'm trying to explore its use.
That sounds great.....ask Tiff she knows how to set up the polling. I have no clue on that front!
