Thanks Meg. I am checking it out now.
Thanks Meg. I am checking it out now.

I've also heard lots of good things about The Bird Sisters - Rebecca Rasmussen.
And am interested in Pleasure - Eric Jerome Dickey. Not my usual cup of tea, but looks good.
PS I'm working on our group reading list for 2013, so please don't be discouraged if your suggestions don't show up right away.

Just read a really cool book (bought it on Amazon)...hits close to home as it’s by a South African author but I learnt so much from it. It’s about a young woman who quits her job in media on a kind of whim to go help build a rural school in the middle of NO WHERE. It’s a bunch of short stories all surrounding her adventure. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions - laughed, cried etc. Easy read but well worth, especially if you’re not from anywhere in Africa...might give you some new insight.
Its called Running Rural by Kelly Letcher
Hope this helps, its a bit different from the normal group reads.
PS. I love your group reads...I've picked up a few of my fav. books :)
Tamarin, I'll be sure to look it up. Sounds fantastic.

THE PITCH
The top marriage counselor in NYC falls for her biggest rival as well as the patient they’re both helping. A romantic rectangle.
BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, and WHERE'D YOU GO, BERNADETTE in tone.
THE SYNOPSIS
COMPLETELY INCOMPLETE is reminiscent of the Tracy–Hepburn classics of yesteryear.
The story centers on an unlikely couple — Jessica (New York’s most eclectic Psychologist), and Ken (New York’s most conceited Psychiatrist). Both specialize in couple’s therapy... and that’s where their similarities end.
Added to the mix is the city's “It” couple — Ryan and Gina. Jessica and Ken are forced to work together to solve the pair's insurmountable marital problems.
Will Jessica end up with Ryan? Ken? Alone?
Follow her journey in COMPLETELY INCOMPLETE — a fast-paced comedy about four flawed characters and their quest for love, happiness, and balance in their lives.
Thanks for your consideration!

If you're in a book club and your group pre-orders the book, I would be happy to have a conference call at one of your meetings to discuss the first FIVE chapters, which you can read for FREE here:

Publishers Weekly calls HOW TO EAT A CUPCAKE, "[A] culinary romantic thriller that will keep readers hungry for more."
Kirkus says: "A little friendship, a little wit and a little mystery make for a charming debut about two old friends reconciled after starting a cupcakery.... Donohue has written a sharp little novel featuring the subtle characterizations of two appealingly flawed young women."
