QR Harry Potter?

Katie Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel by Michael Scott
Eon and Eona by Allison Goodman
Divergent by Veronica Roth

Gretchen Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It is a similar post apocalyptic type novel. It is a trilogy with the second book coming out in March.

Brooke I'm glad I clicked in here, I've gotten some good ideas for books for myself!

Cookie Percy Jackson! And Harry Potter! If you liked Twilight, you could try shiver.

Erin Percy Jackson
Wolves of Mercy Falls
Halo
The Caster Chronicles are amazing!
Paranormalcy
Evermore
Born at Midnight
Loved these all!

Sally I am really enjoying a series, the first one is "Divine by Mistake" by P.C. Cast.

Diane I recommend the following:

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan - I love the series as a whole. A lot of fun, mythology and adventure.

Hawksong (The Kiesha'ra, #1) by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes - I've only read this one in the series, but I really enjoyed it. It's a fantasy with a tinge of romance.

You may also enjoy:
Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld

Dianne i've read those books in you list and i think we both read the same novels.. There are many great books i can think of like the infernal devices series, divergent, percy jackson, unwind, shiver, delirium, shatter me.. but if i were you i'd read the harry potter series not because it's popular among teens but because it is by far the most interesting and satisfying read.

Tania You could also read:
The Iron Fey - series
Thirst - series
The Gemma Doyle - trilogy
Damned + Crusade - Third book coming out on August
Beautiful Creatures + Beautiful Darknes + Beautiful Chaos

message 13: by Vymletoza (last edited Jan 09, 2012 02:27AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Vymletoza yeah, Harry Potter is it.

maybe the Inkheart series, but that's considered for younger girls... so maybe not, but it was nice at some parts.

Vampire academy (but I didn't read that), JANE AUSTEN, Howl's moving castle (really nice short read with strong female character)

did you think about lord of the rings?

Naomibrooksnaomi Brooks its not a series of books it just a one book story but its such a good book beautiful disaster its not a fantasy its a young adult tho and its sooo good x x

Kristen Birthmarked and Prized by Caragh O'Brien
The Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (although I wouldn't recommend it's sequel)
The Mediator series by Meg Cabot
The Chicagoland Vampire series by Chloe Neill (those aren't YA, though)
The Roswell High series by Melinda Metz
And like a bunch of people said, Harry Potter

OMG! YES! THE GONE SERIES!

Brooke Who writes The Gone Series?

Madai Brooke wrote: "Who writes The Gone Series?"

Michael Grant!

Jessica I think Michael Grant writes the Gone series. I would personally recommend the Vampire Academy eries & spin off Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead. You could also try the Luxe series or Bright Young Things series from Anna Godbersen.

Apollo You should try the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. The greatest series ever!!!!!

Pamela Divergent, so amazing!

Dee Aurora wrote: "Can you let us know what books you get?"

Definitely!! I'm going out this upcoming Saturday (: My best friend did happen to buy me a book series by Maggie Stievfvater. The first one's called Shiver(which i'm pretty sure someone has mentioned). I also plan on getting the first Percy Jackson book, because so many people have recommended it. But she usually lets me pick out like five or six books, so i'm still trying to narrow it down to the ones I want to read first. But I will definitely let you know! :]

And I started Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief on Saturday. So far I like it a lot! We'll be reading the same books! LOL!
