Ok, so I'm only going to go for 30 books this year. I wanted to take a little break from reading taking up all of my free time for a while so I can do other things I enjoy and have neglected. Also, I am upping my classload each quarter so I can be done with my degree by the end of spring 2013. So I've got a good feeling that a lot of my time will be taken up with that.

The Ghoul Next Door (Monster High, #2) by Lisi Harrison

Ha, I had to take a break to post this. I like the series so much, I went straight from the second into the third one. (Thankfully I had enough smarts to request them from the library at the same time.) It's going to suck to have to wait until the fourth one is published. :(

Dang Stacy! They must be good. You're making me want to read them and I am already reading too many right now...LOL! That's how I was with The Clique series too. I need to start the Alpha series too.

They are really good, and they're super easy reads. Alphas was a really good series too.
I haven't started another one yet, not sure what I want to read.

The Pretty Little Liar series is a good one. They are easy reads as well.

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 288 comments I liked the PLL series until the 5th book. I had to stop for awhile after 6 because it became too whiny for the characters. I will possibly pick it back up here soon though. The only thing that keeps me wanting to keep on reading in the books is the dang cliffhangers. Sara is extremely good at those.

PLL is on my list for this challenge to start. I hope I'm able to get to it. I decided to go with a Red Dress Ink book for now though. With the Statistics class I'm taking, I don't know how much reading I will get done. My prof wrote today that when you take the class on campus, you're expected to spend 120 hours (that includes time spent sitting in class) on the class in 10 weeks. We are expected to fit that 120 hours into 6 weeks. Geesh!

Lisi is good with the cliffhangers too!!! That's what made me start right in on the next book with the MH and Alpha series! :)

Dang! 120 hours? That's crazy! I took some time off. I am hoping to start back the next six weeks. I only have 8 classes to go. Good luck!

It gets better Meghan! I am reading the newest one called Pretty Little Secrets and it's pretty good. I also watch the TV show and love it!

I watch the television show too which I love! I just was getting sick of the books so I set them aside for the time being. I will probably get back to them here soon.

Thanks, I'll need it for this one. I don't know that it's going to be super hard, but it will be super time consuming. And you know how much time I (don't) like to spend on my classes.
Don't stay out of the game for too long, makes it harder to go back. But that's cool that you only have eight left, you'll be done in no time. I've got it figured out that if I start getting a little agressive with my classes, I can be done by the end of spring quarter next year. :)

I read the PLL books and I also watch the show. I will admit I got bored with the books too--especially #5 and #6. However, I just read #7 and loved it.

That's great! You better buckle down then....LOL! I won't wait to long. I want to get the job thing going and then start again. I have a feeling I will be exhausted when I start working full time again.

OMG, seriously, if you go on for your B.A. and have to take Statistics, DO NOT take any other classes. I feel like I should've taken a sabbatical from work in order to get everything done. It's not that it's hard (not yet anyway), it's SO time consuming. Each problem has so many steps to get from point A to point B, it's ridiculous. Just ridiculous. I am so mentally exhausted from working on it for six hours straight last night - just the homework problems. I didn't even get the critical thinking assignment done (worth 40 points!) and she doesn't accept late work. :( I don't know what kind of grade I'm going to get in this class if I keep running out of time to get stuff turned in. If I hadn't done my participation at work, I wouldn't have even had that for yesterday. UGH! 35 days left....

No, I'm not pushing myself so much this year to read. I need to change it to 30 books though because I think that's what I put for my GR challenge. I'm stepping up on my classes and trying to take more again so I can be done by the end of Spring Quarter next year. That means less reading (and everything else) time. :( But, when I'm done, I'll be done! Unless I get a job someplace that'll pay for a Master's. :)

That's the same problem that I had with Human Resource Management and Personal Finance. I should have taken each class separately. I think I was doing 80 hours of school work each week and I didn't have time to read or participate in anything. I took Business Law by itself because I though that would be the harder one and I barely had any work to do. It was so easy. I will remember to take that class (if I have to)by itself. Actually, I took that class at KVCC so maybe it will transfer. Good luck!

I hear ya. I would want to get done too. Hopefully you can find something that will at least help with school. I am looking for something that has tuition reimbursement but so far there is not much out there.

Yeah, I really liked it. Makes me nervous about all the advances in AI. Get the Playaway, who knows when the book will be in.

Cool, enjoy, it was really good. But stick with it in the beginning, otherwise you may get confused with all the different characters if you start, stop and start again later.
