Yep, these are so addictive. I remember when I first found this series. I bought a clearance book at Barnes and Noble..."Dark Side of the Moon" (Ravyn's story). Didn't realize it was part of a series but I read it in one day, saw the other books listed in the front and proceeded to read the other 10 books within two weeks. And Ravyn isn't even a real Dark Hunter, he's a werehunter! Once I read my first real DH book (I LOVE KYRIAN!) I was hooked forever.

I started the year with this series...I've been hearing so much about it I had to give it a shot. I'm not a huge fan of Cat, but I love me some Bones, Ian, Spade and Vlad!!!

Rayna i really have to start this series...tell you what...we will have to stick together...you start BDB and i will start DH (just so we dont get in anymore trouble) lol

message 12: by Rjsmommy (new)

Rjsmommy I don't know how anyone could not be BDB whose into paranormal romance. The Brothers are so angst ridden and so hot..Hot...HOT! (Sigh)

message 13: by Rayna (new)

I think we've had this discussion before Rayna...I just don't like Rhevenge. He's a drug-dealing, pimp blackmailer who is so over-protective of his sister it's almost abusive. Please explain to me why you can't like a "nice" brother like Vishous? Or try to convince me of why I should change my opinion of him...what did I miss?

message 16: by Rayna (last edited Jan 14, 2012 09:58PM) (new)

Rayna oh yes we did...lol

Well for starters honor, courage, love and devotion. He may have had to delve into the dark things like dealing and prostitution....but he always protected his own (and treated those in his employ with respect even if that was the profession they chose).....he loved his mother and sister and did pretty much anything to see them protected, and that goes for xhex and trez and iam! He loved Ehlena so completely that to save her from the evil witch he faked his own death. For a man who had to give up everything even his pride an self worth to protect those he loves, now thats a male of worth! i will overlook the way he had to get the finances for the honor and courage and love he expressed! Im not a big V fan ill tell you why in a tread on vamps r us instead of clogging up Anges page.....will start it shortly!

Ok...I guess I am fixated on the negative and overlooking the positive. Looking forward to our discussion. :)

message 19: by Rayna (new)

Rayna im just in blah mode.....but i have to say Covet by JR Ward is keeping my interest right now which is good!

Rjsmommy Rayna wrote: "im just in blah mode.....but i have to say Covet by JR Ward is keeping my interest right now which is good!"

I thought Covet was interesting and the characters good but no way was it a BDB. But then I read the second and the third and they just keep getting better. The characters become more developed and the stories become twisted. I love Adrian and Eddie...Envy has a lot to do with them. I can't wait for the next one.

message 21: by Rayna (new)

Rayna sorry i meant Crave.....have no idea what i was thinking. Covet was okay nd i was hesitant on going through....but Crave is better and i have to review Envy so i thought i might as well get caught up!

message 22: by Rayna (new)

Rayna and i agree.....so not BDB!

message 23: by Rjsmommy (new)

Rjsmommy I read matched and at the time thought it was very good...but now not so sure. I've had the sequel crossed since it came out a couple months ago but haven't read it yet. Maybe when I'm through catching up with Morganville vampires.

What did you think of it?

One YA dystopian new series that I enjoyed even better was Divergent Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth This is one that I can't wait to read the next. Also, Enclave was pretty good Enclave (Razorland, #1) by Ann Aguirre

message 25: by Rjsmommy (new)

Rjsmommy I haven't read Crossed yet but its loaded on my Kindle and waiting.

yeah that would drive me bonkers too! I havent really had too many audiobooks that i have disliked or found huge errors! You want a great series to listen to on audio.....pick up the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning......especially Shadowfever.....its my favorite!

message 33: by Rayna (new)

Rayna see and that would drive me nuts.....to me he is Doyle not Dole!
