If there's one thing I'm almost certain about its (view spoiler) And that had something to do with the time gap.

I'm also pretty sure I will Be debunked because that's how Ee rolls, heh.

Why do I feel like I'm never getting over this series and I'm just pretend reading other books when really I'm just waiting impatiently for the next?

Stacie (stack-i-e) Because it is so EPIC!! I was totally there too, I have to give it some space so the next book isn't judged by it!

I think I may have done that cause the next book I read was just...eh...Feel like I need to go back to that one later just to give it a fair shot.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments The group read for April is now open.

If you need to talk about any major plot points (minor story details don't need to be tagged), please use this code to put your text inside of a spoiler tag and make a note of whereabouts in the book you're talking about so people know if they've read far enough to be able to click on the tag :

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I was sad that I missed the cutoff for getting an early release of book 3. I know the last book comes out soon though, so at least I won't be waiting long!

message 108: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1234 comments I liked the first book in this series better than the second but The second is still pretty good. I will not be rereading Angelfall but hope to pop in on the conversation from time to time.

message 109: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 560 comments I don't plan on rereading it either, but I hope to follow along with the spoilers in anticipation of book three next month

message 110: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I've read it, and the second, so I'm excited to talk about it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I think so many of us in the group have read the book by this point. I've re-read it already one time, so I don't think I'll be re-reading it again.

We need new readers!

message 112: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 560 comments Yes! Someone voted for it, haha

message 113: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1234 comments It is a great book (I remember the first few chapters grabbing me and not letting up) I would love for the members, that have not read it yet, to make a comment on what they think so far so I can jump in. :)

message 114: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 560 comments The beginning was great, but the end... WHOA, that ending. One of the creepiest things I've read in literature (and that's taking into account the UnWind series)

message 115: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1234 comments Yes it was creepy - I definitely wanted to know more about it though.

message 116: by Anna (new)

Anna | 231 comments I'm about half way through. There are people dying but I'm grossed out by the cat food...

Oh man, now I'm dying to read this lol. Unwind is one of my favorite books!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments You need to read this!

Angelfall is not the typical YA paranormal. It's got more of a darker, post-apocalyptic vibe.

message 120: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie I wound up DNFing around the halfway mark. Couldn't get into it and found myself not caring about the characters, unfortunately. I'm thinking I may give it another go in a few months or a year, maybe. I've heard the second book is much better.

message 121: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1234 comments I think I liked the first better - especially the ending. T think you should give it another go at some point. For me it just depends on my head space for the moment I guess. I DNF The Scorpio Races and everyone raves about it. I will try it again at some point though.

message 122: by Alison (new)

Alison Sumprer | 2 comments I had a hard time getting into this but ended up really enjoying it. I've never read anything with a premise like this. I do wish there had been more backstory in the beginning-I kind of felt thrown in to the middle of a story. Definitely looking forward to reading book 2.

message 123: by Stacia (the 2010 club), groupaholic, YA-MA founder (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I'm glad that you ended up enjoying the book. It is a very unique read in the landscape of similar-plot YA paranormal.

Since most of us have read this, I'm hoping someone will discuss book 3 with me when it comes out soon. :)

Gonna go ahead and move this topic back to the PNR folder, where it will remain open for discussion.

message 124: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm going to read it right away, so I'm definitely up for discussion! :)
