Welcome Beth, Laurel and Vaseem
Beth - Have you read Working Stiff by Annelise Ryan? I think the author is a nurse.
Laurel - I'm a fan of Cleo Coyle's Coffeehouse series too. The cozy mystery site you mention is a favorite in this group.
You will all find a lot of cozies mentioned on this site. Check out the favorite series discussion in the Cozy Q&A folder.

Question, though: Has anyone read Mrs. Pollifax? Would those books count as cozy mysteries?

My name is Laura and I was so excited to find this group. I used to read a lot of cozy mysteries (especially the craft/cooking ones) and I am wanting to get back into the genre. It looks like I found the perfect group for that. I'm looking forward to exploring all the fun and getting to know everyone!
Welcome to CMC Laura. You will find a lot of cozies here. Our bookshelf has cozies by category. That's a good place to start exploring cozies with a craft or cooking theme.

My name is Lesley and I am super excited about this group!! I love all things cozy and can't wait to start exploring the bookshelf to see what I can choose from. This is going to be awesome!! Everyone have a wonderful day :)
Welcome Colleen. I've read all the Mrs. Pollifax books and I consider then to be cozies.
Welcome Laura and Lesley! There are so many fun types of cozy mystery. I love the animal related ones - especially dogs :)

Welcome Colleen - Somehow I missed your post!
I love the Meg Langslow series. Just finished Lord of the Wings which is set during Halloween. Her books are fun to read with characters I'd like to meet though I wouldn't want all those people and animals living in my house.

Welcome Cathy, Dianne, and Amy! Reading is a great way to find other people with the same interests.

Welcome Amy and Julia
Amy - Glad to see you jumping right into the group reads. Be sure to post a comment in the featured read thread to let us know what you thought.

Oooh no I have not. Thanks!Sounds like a tougher version of Father Brown (which I loved)!

Perfect, thanks! My mom read at least a few of them over a decade ago, but they've always been in the back of my mind's TBR list. I'll have to see if she still has any of them. :)

Welcome Iasa. You'll find a lot of cozies to read here. Since you like hiking and fishing, you might enjoy Beth Groundwater's Outdoor Adventure series. The first one is Deadly Currents.

Welcome to the group Diane and Misty. Have fun exploring the site.
Everyone is new at some point, Diane. You'll soon find our feet. There's a folder with tech help that might answer some of your questions.
Misty - The group has two featured reads each month. The books are posted on the main page and discussed in the featured reads folder. Feel free to comment on any of them. We also host a serial reader challenge each month where members pick series for each other.

Welcome Iasa, Diane, and Misty! Old or new to cozies or GR, we're always glad to help with any questions.

Thanks for the recommendation, Nell, and welcome to the group, Iasa! I'm an avid lover of the outdoors, too, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking and biking in the summer in Colorado.

Welcome to the group, Alice! Since you like paranormal cozies, I assume you are familiar with the Aunt Dimity ghost cozy series written by fellow Colorado mystery author Nancy Atherton.

From one mystery author to another, welcome to the group, Lea!

Welcome, Sandra, and I hope you find lots of interesting cozy mystery suggestions here in the group.

Thank you! Glad to be here!
Welcome to the group Alice, Lea and Sandra.
Alice - Our bookshelf includes cozies listed by themes.
Lea - I just downloaded the first in your Mainely Needelpoint series, Twisted Threads. I'm looking forward to the featured read next month.

Hi Lea. We're glad to have you join us. I just downloaded the book and look forward to reading it.

My husband Jerry works overseas and is home twice a year. I enjoy reading, obviously, knitting, crotchet, counted cross stitch, cooking and spending time with family and friends. :)

Welcome Tracye and Meg. Looking forward to your comments.
Tracye - As someone who does crafts, you may enjoy one of the featured series this month - Mainely Needlepoint is craft themed.

Welcome Meg. I'm in West Virginia, and we have temperatures anywhere between 30 and 65. Apparently we can't decide what season it is.
