I'm in Charleston. I've been here 8 years and would like to move back to VA. My sister lives in Stafford, and might be moving to Richmond. Many, many years ago I had a boyfriend from that area, I think it was Ruther Glen - really close to King's Dominion. Hope you don't have to spend too much time on I95!

Welcome Abby! Glad to see you here.
Heidi - his last name was Covington, but I'm sure he hasn't lived there for at least 25 years.

I used to read a lot (5-6 books a weekend was par for the course), but haven't found as much time lately. I blame facebook! lol
I love cozy mysteries - started reading Agatha Christie by age 10 or so. Current faves are Beaton, Davidson, Daheim, Atherton... oh heck, here are so many!!
I've been reading a lot of historical fiction lately, especially those involving European royalty (Tudors, Lancasters, Yorks, Eleanor of Aquitaine, etc.). I am a big fan of John Grisham (in the middle of King of Torts) and the Harry Potter books, too.
I'm looking forward to finding new series here! And yes, I have to start from the beginning!!!!

I read a lot of cozies, but I also enjoy a good procedural or PI novel as well. Actually, I read just about anything depending on my mood.
I'm looking forward to discovering new series and interacting with others who share my cozy passion.
Wow - can't keep up with all the new people. Welcome Melissa, Alyson, Laura and Cheryl! Hope you'll be joining in on the March reads. And feel free to comment on any of the old reads.

Authors that I like and consider "cozy" include Kathryn Hall Page, Jane Cleland, and Earlene Fowler. Any one else read any of those?

Hi Susan. I enjoy Earlene Fowler and Jane Cleland. Haven't tried Kathryn Hall Page, will have to check her out.

Welcome Rozi. I know what you mean - I used to think of cozies as light British stories with older people in them :D

Rozi...where in Ohio? I am in a suburb of CLE."
Carlisle Twp., between Grafton and Elyria.

Welcome Sherrie. I hope you enjoy the group. Have you read Them Bones, one of our April books? It has a nosy ghost who shows up every now and then :)

I haven't read it yet but I have it on my Nook.

I love all the stuff from Charlotte MacLeod, esp. her Prof Peter Shandy Mysteries.
Hi Anita. Welcome to the group. Cozies do make a nice break between serious books. I also like them when I'm sick or really stressed out - just lay back and enjoy :) Hope you're enjoying Them Bones.

Heidi - where in VA are you from? I'm in WV now, but was born in Lynchburg, went to college in Danville, and lived in Northern VA (Fairfax County, Alexandria, Falls Church) and Winchester.
