Hi Carol, welcome to the group! I think we've read some pretty good books here, and hope you'll share some of your favorites with us.

message 704: by Carol (new)

Carol | 3 comments Thanks jaxnsmom, I'm excited to read the books mentioned on some of the messages. I'm kind of a slow reader and am in another group that read many different types of books, but my favorite reads are cozy mysteries. Very happy I found this group.

Welcome Bluemoon! Just ask if you have any questions.

Jocie McKade (goodreadscomjociemckade) | 1 comments Hello! By day, I am a semi-mild mannered librarian! I have a question for mystery readers -- this fall I'm hosting mystery authors at my library and I want readers to win books. I'm developing a Q&A on mysteries and the reader who answers the most questions wins a basket of books from the authors. If I post a few of these questions would any one be willing to give them a look? Let me know if they are too easy or too difficult??? Thank you in advance!!!

gj indieBRAG | 7 comments Hi all-
I just thought I would remind you that the B.R.A.G.Medallion Honoree authors are always looking for reviews. We have a couple of great Cozy Mysteries. Please take a moment to check them out and consider adding them to your reading list.
You can find all the books at:

Jenn (engelsigh) | 11 comments Hello everyone. My name is Jennifer. I live in Arizona. I got into cozy mysteries last year, but I didn't know they were a specific genre until recently. I'm hoping to find new authors and new friends in this group.

Nice to meet ya'll.

Nice to meet you! I'll have to check that series out. It's always interesting when you can identify with landmarks in a book or movie.

Welcome Rita! Cozies offer a great range of choice. There are some that are more serious, and some that offer plenty of silliness. You'll find lots of different ones here to choose from.

message 720: by Terri (new)

Terri Karsten | 3 comments Hi Everyone,
My name is Terri. I teach high school English, and read all kinds of things. I really like a sub-genre of cozy mystery-that is the cozy historical mystery like the series by Lindsey Davis (with Marcus Didius Falco) or the series by Elizabeth Peters ( with Amelia Peabody.)

Hi Terri! Welcome to the group. I look forward to seeing what you're reading.

Mahoghani 23 (mahoghani23) Hello all. My name is Lea. I'm retired military and I've always enjoyed reading. I'm a big Patricia Cornwell fan but I read all genres. I'm just seeing this group on here and so far I'm enjoying all the books suggested by this group. I looking forward to meeting more people as I get acclimated to the group.

Hello, my name is Peg and I just joined
I would really use your help.
I was told that Kenningston cozy mysteries have a bit of a larger print. Is that true?
Also I cannot seem to read the ones with the teeny tiny print.
I have discovered that those by Amanda Lee, Wendy Lyn Watson, and Christine Wenger (DO or Diner) are a bit bigger and the lines are spaced further apart. As compared to Murder and Marinara by Rosie Genova, for an example.
I would appreciate your help. Thank you

Hi Peg, welcome to the group! I don't know about the Kenningston ones. I know I've found a lot at the library in the large print section.

It's so nice to hear from a fellow Amelia Peabody fan!

The other solution is an e-reader. You can adjust the font size on those to whatever you need!

Karol Hi, I'm Karol. Just picked up the two mysteries for this month and am looking forward to joining the discussion. I've been an Ohioan for 16 years, in the Akron area. Prior to that I lived in Phoenix, AZ. But grew up in Michigan.

message 746: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 6 comments Hi, I'm Diane. I love cozy mysteries along with romance and urban fantasy. My TBR pile is way too big and it is probably a good thing I've started getting the majority of my new books on Kindle or I might have shown up on one of those hoarder shows due to all the books.

message 747: by Michele (new)

Michele I completely understand Diane! My book shelves are overflowing with books :)

message 748: by Miranda (new)

Miranda Owen (autarkia79) Hi, my name's Miranda and I love cozy mysteries including cozy paranormal mysteries. My grandma got me into them years ago. My fav cozy authors are probably Jim & Joyce Lavene, but I also like Victoria Abbott, G.A. McKevett, Maddy Hunter, and Allyson K. Abbott to name a few. :)

message 749: by Diana (new)

Diana Dunn (dianaxdunn) | 2 comments Hi everyone. I'm Diana and I'm an author who LOVES to read cozy mysteries. I write under different pen names, but this is the account I use for joining groups. Some of my favorite authors include Agatha Christie (of course) and Rex Stout (I've been getting loads of his books second hand and falling in love with Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin all over again), but I also love the fact that so many cozy mysteries are being written these days in so many different ways. I'm looking forward to learning more about authors I don't yet read and I'll wait to doing any promotions until I've been around for a while….
