message 157: by Kylie (new)

Kylie (brecoz) Well, I'm just under 5' so I think that probably makes me the shortest.
It's nice to know there are many "vertically Challenged" people out there - here's to being short!

message 158: by Bree (new)

Bree Tratt | 6 comments im 12 but i feel a bit young 4 the books like i get it and everything thats fine but me fantisising bout a 17 year old and then thinking an 18 year old is hot (Taylor Lautner) so im not sure....

message 159: by [deleted user] (new)

hey don't feel young
I'm not much older than you
and it doesn't depend on how old you are, it's how mature you are

Bree Tratt | 6 comments yer good point thanx :-)

message 161: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystal_f) | 1609 comments So are there any 20 somethings who are going to the midnight premier of Eclipse. I have a group of girls together to see it, and I'm thinking we may do a little ladies night, sleep over type thing! What are all my other 20 somethings ladies/guys doing!

message 162: by [deleted user] (new)

omg! you're gonna have a sleepover that is cute! haha

Bree Tratt | 6 comments Amber wrote: "omg! you're gonna have a sleepover that is cute! haha"
haha lol

message 164: by Stefani (new)

Stefani | 18 comments I'm 22 and I'm really into young adult books. People often give me weird looks when I talk about the Twilight books and movies but I don't care. The women who work at my local book store know me and my taste pretty well by now, though. :D

Only one of my friends read the books but the rest are obsessed with Robert Pattinson so we're all going to the midnight showing and smuggling in miniature bottles of wine like we always do!! Sleepover sounds cool but I hate having my friends stay with me! There's too many snorers and teeth grinders! Lol!

message 165: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystal_f) | 1609 comments LOL.....smuggling in mini bottles of Wine!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah! That is tooooo funny! It will definetly be a great night! Theres a Muvico in my neighborhood and its the one that has the restaurant on the second floor! So me and my girls are able to buy a few light cocktails but smuggling sounds a little better right now!

message 166: by Stefani (new)

Stefani | 18 comments Yep, we're a classy bunch - me and my friends. ;) We probably sound like alcoholics after I just said that I smuggle wine in for us - LOL! We're not really, though! Cocktails and restaurants sound way classier - I'd go with that if I could afford it :D

message 167: by Miranda - (new)

Miranda - Life Between Chapters☕ (lifebetweenchapters) | 8 comments I'm 27 and I love the Twilight books, in fact most of what I read is YA!

message 168: by Allie (new)

Allie (loveontheinside) | 7 comments I'm 23 and I recently got into the books...I admit, I was one of those haters until I read the first book and watched Twilight and New Moon and I was hooked ever since. I don't think it matters what you read cause one of my all time favorite books is Charlotte's Web..I own it and still read it occasionally.

message 169: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystal_f) | 1609 comments I agree... I was pulled in because I am a romantic and I love reading really good romance stories! So I started to read the books once I finished watching New Moon! Been hooked ever since!

message 170: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberelaine) | 2 comments I am 26 and there are some people who think I'm to old to be in love with Twilight but it doesn't bother me. They haven't read it so they really don't know what they are missing :)By the way my mom is 60 and she loves The Twilight Saga 2 it really is a saga for all ages.

message 171: by Shwetika (new)

Shwetika well i m 20 and love twilight soooooo much. and i do read a lot of YA books. well most of book i read are YA and yeah my friends and family gives a funny looks when i keep talking about the book i read.

message 172: by Faith (new)

Faith McKay (faithmckay) Over half of what I read is YA. I love young adult fantasy novels...which is sort of funny because when I was a teenager I only read classics...probably to look more mature, haha.

message 173: by Sanna (new)

Sanna | 8 comments I'm 22, and yeah, sometimes I feel a bit too old - I mean it feels like other people thinks I'm too old. But I don't really care about that. First, I was 17 only five years ago, so I think I can remember what it was like being a 17-year-old girl in love! ;) Second, Twilight is very romantic, and I like Edward because of who he is, not because of his age. I don't think it's weird even for 50-year-olds to read YA novels, because they were once young too, and can probably go back to those days.

message 174: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystal_f) | 1609 comments Eaxctly!! And love is love regardless of what age you are! Anyone who likes good romances is going to get pulled into the Twilight World (well most people I should say)

Its weird how Twilight has a stigma associated with it...lol. I remember when I first began reading it, I felt like I was doing some taboo thing, as if all my friends would laugh at me or something. Its a highly misunderstood book!

message 175: by Camilla (new)

Camilla (camillaisloved) Hello there, I am 21 and personally, I think I like the books so much because I am just as old-fashioned as Edward. And Bella is so mature for her age, I think that is why so many people of different ages can enjoy this book. There is a little somthing for everyone!

message 176: by Shwetika (new)

Shwetika ^yeah i agree. and besides YA are always fun to read ........most of them. And I'm 20.

message 178: by Amber (new)

Amber (ambermay_5) | 9 comments I'm 26 and I love the books, my mum loved them too, she was the one to tell me to read them & I wasn't going to because of all the hype, but ended up deciding to read them and as soon as I started reading twilight and fell in love with it, I went & brought the rest of the books and finished all four within a week :)

Yeah Camilla you do bring up a really good point. I never thought of it that way, but that could very well be one of the reasons this book appeals to such a wide audience. For me, there are so many reasons why I love it its hard to name just one. I'm 27 and after reading it the first time I found it hard to refer to it as a Young Adult novel. To me, its a great love story and I guess the only young adult-ish thing about it is the fact that the main characters are fictional creatures (vamps and shapeshifters). Still good stuff though!

So true. I sometimes get weird looks when I say to others that I love these books, but then I remember that so MANY others are in love with them just as much as I am. From the teens to the older ones. My grandmother loves the movies! Lol...(she doesn't have time to read the books.) For Halloween, my cousin and I dressed up as an old couple who are Twilight fans. We had the music playing and we were reading the books while handing out candy. A lot of moms commented on how much they loved it (a dad even said he was listening to them!). I have never thought about just how many people like the Twilight books.

message 185: by Amber (new)

Amber (slam_bamm) | 3 comments I'm 24 and have read the series loads of times and they keep getting better every time... I love the movies and can't get enough of them... I can't wait until eclipse comes out on DVD!!! My 2 yo son and I will be the first in lines :) .... and as for being a total geek, I was at Universals Harry Potter opening weekend and waited over 2 hours in line to get a wand :) I feel that age doesn't make a difference... it's all on how you act.... I am 'forever young at heart'....LOL.... I will read anything no matter what age they are for as long as there good!

message 186: by Cari (new)

Okay so when my son and i got the movie we were number 3!! My friend and her babysitter were ahead of me!! LOL.... and i stayed up until 4 am to watch it that night.

Cari... have you watched True Blood??

message 189: by Jacquel (new)

Jacquel (clairevioletthorpe) | 103 comments I still recall being in my 20's...odd.

I have read the Twilight series and have now started on the Night World Series, The Vampire Diaries, and the House of Night series. But I have yet to watch any vampire TV shows, however.

message 190: by Cari (new)

Cari Walker I do watch True Blood. I can't wait for the new season.

message 191: by Eilish (new)

Eilish (eilishization) I'm 19 and i love the books, i read childrens books, YA books and adult books it just depends how good the books are and you're taste in reading material :)

message 192: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Black (sydneysagee) I am 24, and when I started reading these I was 21. I would say it used to bother me, but then I realized I wasn't the only one in love with YA, clearly out of the YA age. I mean, YA instills a sense of purity and innocence I love, which is why I read it.

message 193: by Kirby (new)

Kirby | 12 comments well, YA's to what, like, 21? so, I mean it's not like we're reading children's books...

message 194: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystal_f) | 1609 comments Ashley I soooo hear what your saying! The innocence of their love is one of the things I love as well :)

message 195: by Vikki (new)

Vikki (silverstarz) I'm 25 and I don't feel too old! I suppose it helps that when I picture Edward I see him as Robert Pattinson, who's a week older than me. LOL. I have plenty of friends around the same age who love the books as well, so it's not like I'm waffling on and my friends all think I'm nuts!

message 196: by Kimi (new)

Kimi (kimisokool) Of course! I'm 26 and I love Rob! And whoever around me doesn't, they can kick rocks! LOL Hardly no one around me reads. Actually pretty much no one at all. They all party or watch TV all the time. It truly sucks not having people around me to talk about books to. =/ But it's okay. I have so many friends on here that it doesn't mater much anymore. =)

message 197: by Sharlene (new)

Sharlene (sharlenehuriwai) I'm 24 and I lent my books out to a 40+ aged woman. She enjoyed them just as much as I do. A few of my 20+ aged friends are into them so I have bursts of "twi moments" when I am with them in particular.
My male 20+ aged friends think I need to get over my teenaged books! I haven't taken their advice yet!

message 198: by Vivi (new)

Vivi | 2543 comments I'll never tell you my age

message 199: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm 13 and i get those looks or stares whenever i mention anything about twilight so i try to keep i low profile
